about that kid eps in the end of september, will they really show the witch power or something? While in DC world it is clearly that ghost and black magic don`t exist, it is kind of funny if in Kid world those kind of things exist.

and also I have some doubt if MK vol 1 chap 3 will get animated

Yeah, I was telling Jd the other day that I hope they edit it so she's just using illusions, gizmos, and drugs/concoctions rather than actual magic.

I'd love it for her to use her regular magic (as in the 'real' kind ) As long as there wasn't the usual Conan cameo, it'd end up fine in my books

Not to mention...it'd be really hard to 'rationalize' what Akako does, especially her first appearance. I mean...she makes Kaito bleed from at least a few miles away. Hard to put that into logical sense

Except they aren't different universes.  That's the issue.  They may be under different titles, but it's very much the same universe.  At least as far as the anime goes.

Not to mention...it'd be really hard to 'rationalize' what Akako does, especially her first appearance. I mean...she makes Kaito bleed from at least a few miles away. Hard to put that into logical sense 

Drugs and a speaker.  Doesn't need to bleed from his head per se, especially given how little blood they usually show in the current time slot.

Except they don't have to be different universes for it to work. In any given modern day set fantasy, there's probably detectives somewhere in the world solving normal crimes. Just because Detective Conan is logic based doesn't mean that magic doesn't exist, just that none of the characters have run into it.

^ This. Just because Conan hasn't encountered it doesn't mean it doesn't exist in that universe. We're talking about a universe where somebody takes a poison and shrinks down to being a kid for goodness sake. (Yeah yeah, there's a bit of science reasoning to go with it but no way does that actually work the way it's been suggested.)

No, magic cannot exist in a series based on logic and realism.  Otherwise you'd have cases of "You're the culprit", "No I'm not, a wizard did it!"
