these have all frustrated me so much, because they start out with an intriguing scenario, lots of dramatic tension and at least moderately compelling suspects... and then they turn into junk. this wasn't as cringe-worthy a solution as the triangulation one (feel like that was the worst method ever used to solve a DC case in any medium), but it still could have been so much better. imo, these all should have been an hour long (split up into two parts); there just isn't enough mystery solving and character development, as the action or hamming has to take over once things should be getting interesting.

EDIT: Just watched Episode 12... and the last scene was a kicker. XD

What I meant are these:

choice1: ran dies. at that time, shinichi hadn't turn to conan yet. where's the dc series thar? ran dies before shinichi turns conan? what the fish.

choice2: ran does not die. a miracle happens and her pulse comes back. *facepalms

choice3: they're just mistaken. ran is not dead. (though this is more probable than the other two IMO)

I was thinking that Ran probably took in some poison that makes you look dead, kind of like Cantarella. But I doubt that it's that poison exactly, especially because people aren't even sure it exists.

The DC timeline was automatically thrown out the moment Sato Miwako was introduced in the first episode. She was introduced after Miyano Shiho. And also, Heiji and Shinichi's first encounter...

Ran dies?!? Sorry, late reaction.

I'm with the miracle scenario here. Or, you know, someone disguised as Ran.

Or... it was all a dream! LOLOLOL

^^Oh no, it better not be! *___* I've had it with every crazy situation being a dream. Ran "dieing" is kind of extreme even for a noncanonical thing. I wonder who the culprit is for the white room thing, maybe all the police in for a joke...

Maybe that Ran inside the white room is Kaitou Kid, who is also the 'doctor'. XD

When Shinichi said that Ran was the criminal I was like: Are you freaking kidding me?!
Otherwise it was an okay episode, sad, interesting and the usual. I got used to non-canon stuff, this is the only way to enjoy movies and live actions, but what really would make me happy, if they would actually take the story further, even without the BO. It was already like  a fun I mean fanfiction, I don't mind if they completely flip over all the characters. Hell, I wouldn't even mind alternative endings, ShihoxShinichi or whatever. Really. Goooo live action.
I hope we have a second season. I can't believe I just said that. The me before 7/7 would have never ever wished for this.

^^I agree. I'm kinda sad the show's coming to an end. I was always excited for the new episodes.

I really cannot shake the feeling it's going to turn into one of those "...and then he woke up!" endings. :\ (or an AU, I guess)

I know it has a few problems, but I find it hands down better than the live action movies. I also loved how they turned The Promised Place into a case! If I didn't already love Detective Conan, I would super like this on its own.

It is an ok show, not really impressed, but it could have been any other detective show with a love interest, no need to name it after Conan or use the names of the characters.
