"This year's 26th issue of Shogakukan's Weekly Shonen Sunday magazine is announcing on Wednesday that a live-action television series adaptation of Gosho Aoyama's Detective Conan manga has been green-lit. The series will premiere on July 7 at 11:58 p.m. on YTV, NTV, and their affiliates. Not sure if it is a good news or not. Another Detective Shinichi live action it seems, when I'm hoping for a Detective Conan live action. Still,going to look forward for this and hopes it is better than the previous LA.

If there is nobody cast Conan Edogawa, then this drama shouldn't be named Detective Conan but Detective Shinichi.

Did drama series just followed manga or anime story to act like Kindaichi drama which using some episodes' title and just changed a story a bit.

Huh, first Ouran High School Host Club live-action is announced and now a series for live-action Detective Conan Shin'ichi.  Not gonna lie, I think this is awesome, but I am waaaaaaay too easily amused by anime live-action adaptations.

When I first heard about this, I wondered, "Didn't they do this just recently already?" And then I realized the keyword: "SERIES".

Holy crap! A live-action series?!

Conan 48:69 has a point; will we even see Conan Edogawa in the series?

And if ever they do, won't a TV series featuring a child actor playing a crucial role in various crime scenes (especially murder) sit well with conservative viewers and with the TV regulatory board? Plus, will the task of playing a child with an adult mind be accomplished successfully by a young actor, considering the need for that actor to have lots and lots of lines with technical and scientific terms he may not be too familiar with? This may be fine if you're doing a movie, but this is a TV series with weekly episodes.

Given the time slot, I hope it's going to be horror orientated.

More information :

-The first episode will last 40 minutes.
-The story will take place 3 months before Shinichi became Conan.
