its kinda hard to act when your hair has something on it XD

Well this is how some lovely cosplayers did it.  You can kinda guess how the girl will look like in live action if they actually kept Ran's hair every shot rofl.

I am so glad they didn't do her hair like that in the live actions.  I would have died laughing so hard.

AH HA HA HA HA HA HA

Yeah, that hair only works in animation but when you try to use it in the real world it's just down right a bad hair day.

haha...i'm happy now that the la did not copy too much of ran's hair...after all, it's not only the factor in which you can recognize her...:)
besides, is it only me, but why do the live action's mouri ran both have half ponytail? is ran really wearing ponytails?

I think everytime Ran is in karte Uniform she ties her hair in ponytail...

But yeah, again, Ran without unicorn-like hair would be hard to recognize. Cosplaying DC characters is not very interesting, IMO.
