Does the cone swivel? Sometimes it looks that way, when she turns her head. I suppose if Gosho gave her normal hair, we'd have less to talk about. I can't picture girls walking into a salon and saying,"Give me a Mouri Ran." Not even Mouri Ran!

the cone is actually the casing for a microchip that muddles her vision + thoughts so that she can't see conan as shinichi. It has to be on top to help itself run on thermal energy from the sun heating her hair. :O
