Yawning Conan walked out of the bedroom into the living room.
"Good morning Conan-kun!" Ran chimed from the kitchen.
"Good morning Ran-neechan" Conan yawned as he sat down at the table.  Ran hummed as she got breakfast ready.  Carrying a tray with breakfast on it Ran walked to the table.  Her foot missed a step and down she went head first into Conan.
"Ow... Are you okay Conan-kun?" Ran groaned as she started to get up.  There was no answer.  She could feel a weight on her head as she started to sit up.  She didn't pay any mind to it and continued to get sit up slowly.  As she got up she felt the weight on her head lessen.  Suddenly there was a "slurp..." and "thump!"  "C-CONAN-KUN!" she yelled as she saw the horrific scene that now lay in front of her.  There lied Conan's body with a massive wound in his chest.  A pool of blood surrounded his body.  Ran slowly put her hand to her hair and could feel the blood, his blood still there.  "CURSE THIS HORN HAIR OF MINE!!!"

As Ran came to her senses she felt she had to call somebody.  Sure, her first instinct would normally be to call for an ambulance as she had done for so many times before.  But this time was different.  This time it was her fault and even though it was an accident Conan was dead.  She just couldn't bare to face what she had done.  Holding her tears back she reached for her phone.  Yes, there was only one person she could talk to.  The one person who seem to know her almost better then she knew herself.  Shinichi.  She stared at his name for a few seconds before hitting dial.  She waited.  Rinnnng Rinnnng  Each ring seemed to last forever.
"Please pick up" Ran said shakily to herself.  Suddenly she realized she could hear ringing coming from Conan's body.  Her eyes grew wide.  It...it can't be.  She thought to herself.  She followed the sound of the phone.  She picked up the bloody phone from his body.  Her heart nearly stopped when she saw the name of who was calling on the display.  Mouri Ran
