What would be the right age to watch Detective Conan?

Americans are a little more "immature" about certain things. Here in America, if you say one little curse word it is automatically PG-13. Or anyone drinking, or any type of gore.....it's because our children have a higher tendency to act on it...they have hardly any self-control.....there are some people who are a little ignorant too....they don't understand things very clearly......

But the average appropriate age is 13+ That's when I saw it. I'm 19 now....

Well, I've read Conan manga since I was... 8. And I'm 16 now, but I don't feel much of difference at all

Im pretty sure a lot of young'ns watch Detective Conan...it seems like the type of show that would send good messages to kids, seeing how probably all the kids like Conan, and hes a very virtuous guy, so it'll prevent kids to think of doing murders/crimes and whatnot...ya know, the normal propaganda stuff.

But if you're an uptight parent, 17 would probably be the "legal age" because in America it would be rated MA...but honestly who follows that shit? I started watching rated R stuff when i was in 6th grade LOL so...12 or 11 hahaha

same here. when I was 10 i watched every movie we had in the house, which we had a lot of movies that were Rated everything!  Who cares about the ratings?

My sister [11 at that time] was watching DC on Animax and I just walked into the room and loved it. I was 6 at that time. Now I'm 12. Everyone tells me I'm too mature for my age, though..

There's really no right age. It depends to the viewers. My bro started watching Conan when he was 8, and really got into it. My cousin, who's 8 right now, watched Conan too, but didn't get into it. So it's just a matter of taste.
