Kudo lost to Ran during playing cards and his punishment was that he had to accept any invitation and be willing to help anyone around him if he was asked to do so on that day. Right after this Mori ojisan asked Kudo to accompany him to a wedding party. Kudo had to go because he couldn’t break the deal.
Motoki Kensuke, the groom, was the owner of the restaurant which held the party wheareas Shimabara Kanon, the bride was actually a very near and dear client of it.
Right before the opening of the party, Kudo overheard a conversation between Nana, a friend of the bride and Motoki, from which, by chance, he learned that Nana was pregnant and according to her, that was Motoki’s child.
Then at the beginning of the party, Ojisan asked Motoki and Kanon to kiss each other. Motoki treated his guests there to a famous cocktail of his restaurant. Nana suddenly snatched the glass of cocktail from Saika, a guest as well, and drank to the last drop. After that she fell down and died.
Ojisan deduced that Motoki had put poison in the cocktail but according to forensic officers, the reason of death was not because of any poison but soba noodles (some kind of allergic
)
Motoki was suspected and asked Kudo for help since he insisted on being innocent in this case.
