New Detective Conan Live-Action TV Special

My reaction to seeing this on ANN's twitter ----> What?  What?  What more can they do with the live action?  Use child actors for the whole thing and dub their voices over like they did with the last one?  (Which I always find creepy...)

They could do another story from the pre-shrinking days. If not they will presumably transform and leave the kids behind like before.

Out of all of the LA’s for anime’s I’ve seen (which I'll admit isn't much, I'm incredibly picky when it comes to LA's as a majority of the time they're a waste of money in my point of view), the DC ones are halfway decent. I just have a major complaint about the child actors. xD. But considering it’s an anime, you can’t be too picky.

But hey, just be glad they didn’t do such a corny job on the LA for DC like they did with the LA of Sailor Moon. ;D At least DC’s LA’s seemed a bit more realistic especially with their choice of actors. *Prepares to get shot.* >_> <_<

I kinda figured they'd be doing something special for the 15th anniversary.  But after watching the two action specials(especially the last one),  I'm just unsure about another one.

You know, maybe if the actors were half as good as the voice actors or it wasn't basically a live action AO, they wouldn't suck.

how can a live action actor be half as a good as a voice actor. seems like an apples: oranges comparison given what is involved.

I was totaly surprised yesterday, when I heard the news. I wouldn't mind seeing Shiho, Kogoro and Megure again, and a decent muder case, you have to admit, the murder case in the second drama was quite good.

What more can a third drama ruin/give us? Heiji, KID, Takagi...god forbid Yukiko, Yusaku, Vermouth, Eri? And a bunch of child actors? *screams*

I wish they would get a new actress for Ran.

I hope we see Conan as a kid more. Old ones had focused on Shinichi too much.
I liked the Anime-dub idea on the previous live action. Also I loved the actors/actresses of Mouri Kogoro, Sonoko, Conan, Ai; so i have good expectations but I hated Ran on the previous one.

I know the drama version will not be the same as anime/manga but when i'm a fan, i love to see it anyway.

After the Kaito Kid festival we had last year, I'm pretty sure he'll be in this LA. Maybe they might insert Heiji and Kazuha as well.
Hopefully though, they will find some competent child actors and won't make voiceovers. Yes, we all can live without Megumi voicing Haibara.

omg, I'm so excited! XD I really hope there won't be any children and that there will be new charas! I'd love to see Kid .. I can't really imagine Heiji .. hmm .. I hope they'll use Oguri Shun (he's at least cute) and the actors that played Kogoro and Sonoko, they were great! (Shiho wasn't bad either .. Ran .. I don't know .. no .. she was too soft) Yaaay, new live action!! (hhh, I think I just figured out what LA stands for and it's not Los Angeles)
