But i sure hope, that Gosho don´t makes the ending totally lovey-dovey (Ran should at least slap Shinichi or kick his ass for not telling her everything since the beginning XD), i find it wouldn´t fit into the DC-mode.^^

Why should she slap him or "kick his ass"? I don´t see how that would solve anything.

Haibara would surely involved on 700th chapter BO arc, and it's time for conan to keep his promise to protect her.. That's why, i do expect a lot of interaction between those two on this New arc, and maybe finally conan somehow develop some feeling

I think james said that he wouldn't like to see a "sweet lovey dovey ending" with ran kissing shinichi and forgive him immediatly for the wait(for me it would be annoying)!
he said"kick his ass" not in a bad sense!shinichi doesn't deserve to be beaten like that!


it will not be bad(for me)to see Ran angry and blame him because he didn't tell her everything(so that she will not always considerate just  as "the cute and nice girl who wait for her man " ) it would be more realistic and human  for me!

'Ai' can mean both 'love' and 'sorrow' in both Japanese and Mandirin!

Coincidence~ Not really cuz lots of Japanese and Mandarin/Cantonese clash that way.

I am seriously agreeing that Ran/Shinchi is a dragging romance and so boring....that ending would make me sick! I'm hoping for some "New Love" as well from ShinAi. ^^ The closer they get the more excited I get and thats a lot cause I'm a harsh critic on Romance. Ran's ending will be totally sappy and stupid and expected. Its so obvious how thats going to end. It makes me sick thinking about it....and it will show japanese love in a new light. I mean you guys ever notice that all the sweet innocent girls seem to get love but the girls who are tougher just end up being loners? Tough girls need love too. That shows a very stereotypical view of how women should be to have romance.

The reason why Heiji is never mentioned in THIS CURRENT THREAD is because this thread is about Shinichi x Ai and to an extent Shinichi x Ran.  Sure we can mention how Kazuha and Satou and Sonoko and even Haibara are just like Ran when blah blah blah everytime we talk about Ran but wouldn't just that result in bigger wall-o-text then we already have?  Last time I check not everyone has the time to read through all that (it would be interesting though).

Does anyone find Ran's interest in guys to be...kinda...non-existant?  I mean Shinichi will at least check out hot girls (even when he's on the phone with her as Conan LOL).  The last time I remember her showing a interest in a guy is the singer and the karate champ.  Both of which likes someone else and she doesn't even LIKE that way.  

Hm, it´s true. Well she is the faihful and totally loyal girl who waits for and already have a Price Charming. Why should she look out for other boys? 
It´s uncommon cause a girl would be maybe more like Sonoko who has a boyfriend but still looks at what the world "could" offer to her.
It´s kinda boring actually: A Men who she showed some real interest into, who could be a real rival to Conan/Shinichi and not some dayfly would give a bit pepper in her relationship. XD

I mean for Conan/Shinichi we "have" Ai, meaning some of us could thinks of them as a couple. But for Ran we have nobody. Kinda unfair. XP

Not here. I just know a lot of people who seem to have this kind of opinion- this is why I asked "Can somebody explain this to me...?" I found it a bit... hard to title Conan as a "shame of the male species" and wanted to point out that he´s not the only one doing those things. Is there something wrong with that...? I know I sometimes phrase things a little too harsh, but that doesn´t mean I´m upset that nobody has mentioned Heiji before, I wanted to bring him in the discussion. Sorry if I didn´t make that clear (?).

Maybe it´s really time that we talk about the guy which both girl (in Ai case maybe?) fell in love. So Heiji (or Kaito) would be a good basis point to begin with. 
I think that Kudo does check the feelings of the girls, he only doesn´t get it when they have affection towards him until they showed him clearly like Ran with her "confession" or Ayumi with her kiss and thougts about marriage. If Ai really loves Conan/Shinichi we can be almost sure to see something or to read something that will clearly stand that fact. 8)
To be honest, i think that Heiji stands more on the pipe than Shinichi. XD

Seriously, Shinchi knows Ai more than Heiji. And what you forget is that Shinchi and Ai are in what good romances have....a growing relationship.
