DC Fans

Post by whiteztearz »

okay i know theres that "introduce yourself" topic somewhere floating around here that ask about "when did you become a DC fan?" or
something close to that...
but i just have to wonder...
how old are you guys really are!? honestly?
cuz i browse thru a few topic & it seems like A LOT of ppl knows A LOT about DC..well beside that fact that
you guys are crazy, addicting DC fans  :D
i mean i am too..but wow. kudos to you guys.

I don't think it's just that we have been fans for many years. I mean, I'm 16, and I've been a fan for 4 years (which I celebrate the anniversary of knowing DC with my birthday :D), but I think that it's because DC is an anime series that attracts the obsessive geniuses of society who research everything about whatever we find interest in.

And with that, I say welcome to the club, new genius.

PS: Thanks for the kudos  ;D

I'm 14, I found out about/started watching the series like last summer. I might have heard of Case Closed before that, but I can't remember D:

regarding to your PS. your welcome  ;D

i find DC interesting bc it intertwines with the mysteries and the...adoption of SHERLOCK HOLMES
which btw its in fact fascinating.
okay...so pretty much everyone in here is around thier TEEN age? whoa.
and no it simply amazes me that how little spec of details can lead to such...well speculations and...thoughts.
i watch DC and hoping to start on the manga soon, but i dont pick up that much detail.  :(

I think that was what it happened ,after all the first episodes are really disturbing for kids, I mean Come on the first episode the guy's head is cut off on the rollercoster.

When you say CartoonNetwork, you mean Adultswim, right?

I came to know DC from Adultswim too, and from our ever reliable source of information Wikipedia, I learned that they took DC off air because it wasn't getting enough of an audience. This would obviously happen because while DC is aimed for ages 9-11, the crimes made it part of AdultSwim, which is for 14-17(or something like that). Doing this would be like putting the Pokemon episodes that were banned for amture themes  on Adultswim.(here is a link on info for them: http://www.serebii.net/anime/banned.shtml)

I find it funny that the Japanese system allows all the blood and cursing(ex. Kuso, which basically means Damn/Shit) on Shonen anime (like Bleach & Naruto), while the American system won't even allow actual guns(no toys/fake guns), blood, and cursing(can't even say hell) in Child programming.

Well, I'm done with my mini-rant  ;D

PS: I am not saying that Pokemon is comparable to Detective Conan, just saying they were target for the same/ similar groups.

yup that is what i completely meant. i dont find ADULT SWIM that..disturbing or what not..
but i guess? about the whole first episode being too disturbing for ...hmm...children...hmm
in the States. too darn "protective"...right.

not enough audiences? what are they? smokin' crack?!
