Or the other way around.  Kazuha already admits to how she feels to almost anyone (with one huge exception, of course, and then at least she tries) but we don't see much about how Heiji feels.  The other way around might give him a little guts to confess...at least that's what I hope.

I once read a hilarious fic- might've been Candyland- where Kazuha is pissed off at her dad because he's dragging her to an omiai. At the restaurant, she's relieved to see Heiji, and starts babbling about how he needs to get her out of there NOW because her dad's taking her to an omiai with some random guy... then he looks freaked out and she asks why he's there... it was hilarious XD

The situation with Heiji and Kazuha reminds me of Koizumi Risa and Atsushin Otani's story (recently saw Lovely Complex anime out of curiosity). Heiji's like Otani, it always takes him a while to realize things and he and Risa always bicker the way Heiji and Kazuha do. Seriously, they're meant for each other, personality and appearance wise.

Though I'm not all for the romance in DC, I don't know why I'm attracted to this pairing and why I'm interested in seeing their relationship step a bit higher. Heiji, just confess to Kazuha now will you? Shinichi and Ran already did their thing.

Ahem, anyway, I agree in some ways, but I think Heiji does know he likes Kazuha.  I just don't think he wants to risk his friendship with her.  After all, they're just like Ran and Shinichi in that they have other friends but they're each others best friends since forever.  If something went wrong, then they'd be alone.  It's risky. 
Shinichi could confess because Ran's already told Conan that she likes him.  Heiji, no matter what his suspicions, would still be stepping into unknown territory.
So now we gotta shrink Heiji so we can get a confession.  Plus, little Heiji would be so cute!!!!!
