Kinda off topic, but when I first got to college this year, I had all new roommates.  I was watching episode 39/40-40/41 (the one where they find the body in the fountain and it messes up rigor mortis) when one of the girls said, "I'm going to leave the door unlocked, ok?"  I said, "That's fine, if some burglar comes in and we accidentally kill him I know how to hide the body."
My other roommate misheard her and thought I said I knew how to hide her body.  Kinda an awkward start of a roommate-ship...
In short, it taught me how to creep people out.

Yeah Kogoro, did you read this one?

I've learned a lot about rigor mortis and biological processes. I've also been able to impress my biology-major friend by knowing what apoptosis is. And I've learned a bit about Japanese history and mythology.

Dying people can come up with extremely subtle ways to write their killer's name, but never can simply just write the name in plain text.

I'm pretty sure this must have been mentioned before but;

Everything needs to be backed up by evidence. (I actually use this a lot when arguing :-X. You can't say this if you have no evidence! Mwahaha)

That you can kill someone using their static electricity, and how to divert(can't think of a verb) it from yourself.

It allowed me to threaten my classmates that I will kill them using a locked room murder case that no one(in real life) can figure out. They believe me since they know I'm a DC fan. Of course I won't really do it, or will I?

How to create an alibi

Detective Conan has taught me not to tick someone off. Because there is a high change they will kill me in a clever way.

If someone keeps checking their watch in a very short period of time they are normally trying to get their timing for a murder exact. (I noticed my science teacher doing this a couple of years ago. Turns out he was trying to get his timing to play a joke on us), when it rains in Japan they all have umbrellas- that is correct, I went there at easter.  ;D

DC taught me...

1. How to kill people in the most complicated ways ever imagined..

2. How to create perfect alibis that real life Policemen will never see through it...

3. Bad guys have shorter life span than good guys...

4. How to create a locked room murder...

5. How to slow down decomposition..

6. How to speed up decomposition..

..I'll add more to this list if I think more lessons from DC..
