I read the topic title and thought of this instance and the lungs ones immediately. This one has a lot of terror to it, because you know... He isn't actually dying. Yes, he's in danger, but he isn't suffering. Would be a hell of a way to go, for sure.

Remember the Ghost Ship Murder Case (ep 61-62)? the way the lighthouse keeper was killed was also kind of cruel...i mean torture the guy till he tells you where the gold is, let him die in his own pool of blood and then, if this were'nt enough, stick a sword through his throat. the old guy had a pretty sick mind to be able to think of all that. Don't you think so ?

First case, the fella who got decapitated by the piano wire on a coaster. Cruel, but brilliant (in a sense).

This is a really hard for me to remember the specific episode/chapter... and even though the person did NOT die (was saved by Conan) It is a brutal way of killing someone. I'll just explain the method:

There was like a rope tied to a big cinderblock(.. a rock, for people who don't speak english  :-\ ) and the rope was also tied around a big block of ice and I GOT IT!.. hold on I'm pretty sure I remember the ep.

K.. no. I didn't. K so anyway the rope is also tied around the ice which makes it suspended in the air and the victim's head is laid directly beneath the drop point of the cinderblock. Eventually the ice melts and the rope breaks and the block falls, but Conan had just saved the guy.. I feel like it was a recently DCTP-released ep.. but I'm not sure. It involved a man who was acting very strange and he OHHH! I got it! 276! The Missing Policeman's Notebook! But yeah, thats a brutal way to attempt killing someone.

if i'm not mistaken there was an episode where the murderer used something they cold "time delay switch" to cut the power on a yacht. but to actualy use this method to kill somebody, and to use blocks of this and that in the process, just creepy. imagine, being forced to stay put until the time of your death arrives...give you something to think about, huh ? :)

i wander if the murderers should be locked up in jail or in an institute for crazy people. or maybe they'r really geniuses and should be rewarded with prizes ;D ;D

Like Pride said, come on... just remember first chapter, on the manga you can see it clearly, how a man was DECAPITATED! In a rollercoaster! The anime put up some lights and so, but when I went to my local library and found the DC manga on the kids section... WOW!

Maybe the anime is suitable for minors, but manga can be so cruel, sometimes. The Night Baron case was a really cruel death too, although the anime shown it from a long distance, so you couldn't see the blood at all.

What about 159-160 Bizarre! The Legend of the Five Storied Pagoda, the guy has one end of a rope around his neck while the other end goes all the way up to the corner of the roof of a Five Storied Pagoda and down to the border of a well tied to some heavy metal building material, the culprit drops the metal inside the well and the guys is pulled hitting everything on his way up to the Five Storied Pagoda just to stay there dead hanging. I think that's cruel too ^_^

The one from 505 is bad too, they cut your throat and then push you down the hill to fall in the trash container, and that is all we know, we have to wait until next episode to see how bad it really was.

The fish name case where the victim
Spoiler:
is left alone to die on a rock no one goes to.

That case probably had the victim take the longest to die.
