Remember, Vermouth is the BO leader's favorite one... The purpose of BO has been hinted to be immortality/de-aging technology/something that works against time... "We could be both God and Devil since we are trying to raise the dead against stream of time..." Hit me, but could it even be time machine?  Yeah I know, that's just because I'm a fan of time travel theory... BUT back to the point above... for what reason did Vermouth become the Boss' favorite? Maybe it's because she has something that he/she wanted the most... the de-aging/against time technology itself... this point has never been cleared by Gosho (the reason Vermouth stopped aging, as asked by Jodie in the Halloween Showdown)

It could be :
1. Vermouth has taken something similiar to APTX as experiment of BO, maybe in Elena Miyano timeline, or
2. Vermouth has already acquired the against-time technology before she was in the BO, and got recruited because of that point

We know that it's not a part of her disguise (Akai has proved it in the Showdown) and even disguise can't explain her body's --other than face-- condition. So when did she gained that de-aging power? It must be after the New York case. When she disguised as the police inspector, she rip off the mask, revealing that the face behind it was not a mask. (However superb Toichi Kuroba's disguising art is, double-mask is impossible to do)

When she burnt little Jodie's house, her appearance was, as noted by Jodie herself, same with when two of them met again at the harbor. Probably at that time she's still Sharon Vineyard. Unless we follow Chekhov's suggestion that she's also Sharon's mother. Well all this de-aging stuff is making me dizzy 

I have a feeling that this whole Vermouth thing will be deadly important in the ending arc. She knows about Shinichi and Haibara. She is the only one who has the de-aging matter without APTX. She is related to Yukiko and Toichi. She is amused with Ran's pure heart. She has an archenemy in the FBI, Jodie. She is Anokata's favorite. She doesn't get along with Chianti (and Korn). Etc... she is really a key character.

PS : When Gin gave the pill to Shinichi in the legendary case in Tropical Land, he still didn't know the APTX power. And he gave that pill with intention to kill Shinichi. So what does that mean?

You don't need a full mask to appear older, clever use of a durable oil based makeup will work. You can find videos on youtube of people applying it under "old age makeup". Most of them are shooting for senior citizen: Sharon Vineyard is ~50 and an actress at that so the amount of makeup needed will be much less than these videos use for full blown aging effects. With good stage makeup which is designed to take perspiration, high heat, and minor smudgy abuse when applied properly, and a good dose of DC-routinely-exaggerates-reasonable-disguise-abilities, a mask over some makeup isn't impossible. Also there is Hattori's double layering to consider.
Also we know that Vermouth was planning to switch into the Chris persona for a long time because she established her Chris disguise for several years - like making movies using Chris and giving interviews and such. It would make more sense if she wasn't aging and was planning for the future when maintaining an aging disguise would be too much effort, vs she knew many years in advance that she was going to take some drug -it can't be APTX because it is most often lethal- after the New York case that would make her de-age.

APTX4869 is called the "incomplete detective" by the Org - which means its true purpose, de-aging, has not yet been achieved. Right now, APTX4869 is more of a poison than wonder drug - Conan and Haibara got lucky out of many people who died after the drug was used on them. Haibara hid her results about the lab mouse shrinking, so the Org doesn't know that APTX 4869 de-ages people some of the time. Based on Shiho's results, they think it is simply a lethal poison. It is just a useful side effect that it happened to leave no trace in the victim’s body when it killed them, and so the Org decided to use this incomplete version to kill people.

Very true, but I must admit I didn't put as much effort thinking of why and how they would get together.
I was just imagining Conan and Vermouth being cute together. Hahaha.
Maybe with all the money the BO gets, they can afford a very very VERY good plastic surgeon. xD
If she did take an ingredient of APTX that makes you younger, would it turn her into a child? Or just 10 years younger?
If I recall correctly, Shinichi was 17 and he turned 7. Or around that age..
If the BO had the secret to stop the aging, don't you think they would sell it for a lot of money? Or something?
If they're doing such criminal acts of violence for money they could've earned from selling age decreasing serums...then they really must be a bunch of hardcore villains! =P!
I hope they feel Shinichis fist of justice!
Or Conans Soccer ball of justice!

I just get annoyed with these type of pairings. It is way too unrealistic and weird.
