I wonder what does "I will not betray the hopes of fans" mean. Different fans want very different things to happen at the end of the series. It’s impossible to satisfy them all.

Could anybody tell me please if there have recently been any interviews with Gosho Aoyama about the series? I would really like to know if there is any hint out there about when the series will end, but I still didn’t find any information anywhere.
The only interview I found is this http://detectiveconan.forumcommunity.net/?t=1437869 on an Italian forum, but it’s too old, there must surely have been some changes since then.
Is it just me or were there really no news about Gosho’s projects about the series since that interview?
