Even that is wrong. The shrunken hero of Detective Conan is not Shinichi, but Conan. But it is true that Ai is responsible for shrinking Shinichi, and it is also true that Shinichi is the hero of said story.

I was about to post about Ayumi and Conan until i saw the posts (above) on this page which made me think twice if i was replying at the right topic... 

Anyway, i think Ayumi is true to her feelings towards Conan to the point of making him feel embarrassed/blush. I think it's kinda cute to see Conan like that.  But i dont see anything more out of this than just Ayumi's little crush. And i think Conan just sees Ayumi as a little sister/friend too. Cant imagine a ConanXAyumi.....

It was just the result of Fools Day. The names of the DC character and some forum members got changed for that one day. This is why some posts might look... chaotic.
The posts that were made have returned to the normal names, however if someone quoted a previous post during April 1st it would not change once it is over.

Yeah, it is so cute having Conan deal with Ayumis crush on him.
I wouldn't call it "little" though, she seems to be serious with it. Serious enough that just being close to Conan makes her heart beat faster than if she had the chance to win a sports car (or a bicycle). And to make (for a 7 year old) elaborate plans to get a picture together with him where they look like Emperor and Empress Hina dolls... And what else she all did and tried for him. Awww, it' so cute.

About Conans relationship with Ayumi - sure, at the moment she is only a friend to him. On the other hand he still hopes he could return to being Shinichi (and being together with Ran) any day. As long as he does not fully accept his new life as Conan, he can not consider her (or anyone else his current physical age) as a serious love interest. Not to mention that Ayumi is still a child...
Conan x Ayumi doesn't really work now. But in the future it will.
