She was also in the third movie, a bit before Kaito kissed Ayumi's hand ("Kaito Kissed"  :D). Which begs the following pair - AyuKai FTW  :-X

(kidding btw)

So at the start he had a thing for Ayumi and as of the eighth movie he has a thing for Ran? So in the end of the 14th movie after he realizes he has no chance with Ran, he will move to Haibara. HE TRIES TO TAKE EVERY GIRL FROM CONAN!

Which might be the reason why Conan/Shinichi is trying to catch him and get him behind bars as soon as possible:
He endangers his dream of a harem of girls all for himself...  ::)

With Aoko he can even get another "Ran-clone" for that harem.  :P

Doesn't Akako want him as her slave?
Kinda ruins the harem plan, ;D.

As for Sonoko, she has the strength and will to break any male, it's only a matter of time for her. So any harem involving the GREAT QUEEN Sonoko is one she controls!

It's a RAW that is coming up(not sure if it's the next episode) with a good storyline.
