I think it's a much better opening than the last one.  The piano adds that kinda of Blues/noir feeling that the first 100 episodes had.  Also, I like how they sped up some of the scenes, makes it look much cooler.

Maybe the animators are hinting? I like that they juxtaposed the real Akai and scar Akai like they are not the same person.
