don't watch any Ran scene from the past few years, you'll hate it

Don't grow attached to any female lead in any shounen series.  They are all emotionally fragile - to deny Ran isn't is a stretch..as Akai put it "why are you always crying?"

Is it just me or is the plot of 'The Lost Ship in the Sky' suspiciously similar to Die Hard 1?

Ehhhh ..... noo, not at all .... *Whisper: Damn, we were caught...* *sharpens knife* :P

But the biohazard danger made me actually think of another movie wich I can not remember right now.

Actually the whole bio hazard thing made me think of Criminal Minds for some reason. It's actually because of it reminding me of C.M. that I figured out the whole "mass panic" thing very quickly.

I rank mine mostly on the Shin-Ran interaction in the movie:

the bottom 4

14. Lost Ship in the Sky
8. Silver Winged Magician
10. Private Eye's Requirem
3. Last Wizard of the Century

Kid Movies just drive me up a wall, espically 14( after I knew there was a "almost kiss" between Kid and Ran I decided to not watch it at all), 10 is very boring and poorly written. 8 is lame as well( Kid disgused as Shinichi and repeatedly flirted with Ran), 3 is mostly OK but the ending is a let down.

13. The Raven Chaser

It is looks OK, but I will never watch it because the whole BO thing is messed up.

The Mid-tier

11. Jolly Roger of the Deep Azure
9.Strategy above the Depth
12. Full Score of Fear
2. The Fourteenth Target

The story in those movie are not very interesting, but each have a redeeming Shin-Ran momemnt to salvage it.
Shinchi's Lying Face<Shinchi finding Ran< Shinchi play Violin for Ran < Shinichi saving Ran by shooting her.

The top tier
1. Skyscraper on a timer
6. Phantom of Baker Street

Shinichi-Wall-Ran moment < 19th Century London

The pantheon
4.Captured in Her Eyes
5.Stairway to Heaven

Movie 4 is my #2 favorite because the epic chase scene starting with Conan's Tony Hawk-esque skateboarding followed by the epic fountain scene. 5 imo is better it just have more epic scenes overall during the entire escape( Ran jump off the ledge/Conan skateboard across buildings/Conan mid-air Helmet kick).

My favourites
2. Countdown to Heaven
6. Phantom of Baker Street
10: Private Eyes' Requiem
13. Raven Chaser

I just really like these ones because they had interesting cases with complicated plots and nice settings I guess...and 13 involved BO :P

Least?
1. Time-Bombed Skyscaper - I just don't really like the plot..
4. Captured in her Eyes - too Ran related and only one plot
8. Magician of the Silver Sky - OK, not TOO BAD but no main plot

Movie 01: Tokei Jikake no Matenrou (The Timed Bomb Skyscraper)
Movie 04: Hitomi no naka no Ansatsusha (Captured in her Eyes)
Movie 06: Baker Street no Bourei (The Phantom of Baker Street)
Movie 07: Meikyuu no CROSSROAD (Crossroad in the Ancient Capital)
Movie 09: Suiheisenjyou no SUTORATEEJI (Strategy Above Depths)
Movie 10: Tanteitachi no Chinkonka [Requiem] (Requiem of the Detectives)
Movie 13: Shikkoku no CHASER (The Raven Chaser)

The worst ones for me would be a tie between:

Movie 08: Ginyoku no MAJISHAN (Magician of the Silver Sky) *Was really boring to me*
Movie 11: Konpeki no JOLLY ROGER (Jolly Roger in Deep Azure)
Movie 12: Senritsu no FULL SCORE (Full Score of Fear)
I'd add movie 14 into the best category.  I usually find Kid-related stuff boring, but I really liked it for movie 14.
