Speaking of Genta's bald spot on his head.. ;D

When me and my classmates go to our house because of a group project,
we decided first to watch anime movies before we start.

I, as a DC super fan, I recommend them to watch DC. There is an episode there about "METROPOLITAN POLICE love story (obviously, it's about officer SATOU and TAKAGI-san)..
They keep asking me why does GENTA-kun has a bald spot on his head and they burst out laughing.
And when we arrived at school, they keep talking about it. SO, I also want to know why..:D

My thought is maybe, Aoyama just wanted to put a bald spot on his head to make it more funnier. :D

Ahem...

It is obvious that Genta is a unicorn.  The bald patch is simply the spot where his horn belongs.  He uses his unicorn magic to hide his horn so that the mortals on earth cannot see it.  Genta and his unicorn buddies are in hiding because of the infamous Unicorn Hunt in 1969.  Ever since then all the unicorns have been hiding in plain site, hiding their horns with whatever means possible.

Some unicorns, like Genta, hide their horns using magic.  Others, like Ran, hide their horn using their own hair.  Those are the two most common ways.

As proof I present Genta's love of eating.  He must eat large quantities of food in order to maintain the illusion that his horn is not there.  As everybody knows, magic takes a lot of energy.  Energy that has to come from food.  Eels happen to be a very magical creature and therefore provide the most energy for Genta.

Ran on the other hand, does not eat as much.  This is because she does not hide her horn with magic and therefore does not need to eat as much.  However, she is a very accomplished martial artists.  This is because she needs to be able to keep away those that may touch her hair.  If they were to touch her hair and realize that a horn lay beneath it, she would be exposed.  Karate gives her a way to make sure that doesn't happen.

Or he's been held back for years and is actually forty-five.

My serious guess is that it was something Aoyama-sensei drew in for his early appearances to make him look like a miniature hard man, and it got kind of stuck before anyone started thinking seriously about a first-grader having a bald patch.

He is also experiencing adult Male pattern weight problems. In Movie 11 he admits to weighing 108lbs. He's a tubby, unagi loving, balding, child. Anyways I think the bald spot looks like a burn, I mean come on, he is always getting into some serious trouble. How many times would he have died if Conan wasn't there to save him??? I am going with burn.

It so does.

... by that token, does that explain Heiji's weird fringe-spike? Not as prominent as Ran's, but still.

He's balding because of all the salt and MSG in his diet. Either that or that's where he gets plugged in to the Matrix.
