Ok case, but the ending was AMAZING.

sorta turned out as expected, but genta's dad is a little crazy

if it wasn't for him being genta's dad, that crazy face he was having made him seem like he could be some sort of killer.

the culprit started choking when Conan told him he swallowed poison... and magically recovered when Conan told him it wasn't THAT poisonous...

Do you have to be conscious that you have eaten poison to actually get poisoned??

He did that hoping that they would buy it so when they got him to the hospital, he could run away. Anyway, it was just a trick to try and slip away from them, know that they knew that he kill the guy and that he was the leader of that robbery group. (Was it a robbery group? I forgot...)

yes it was a robber group and the group name was "Hyakki Yakou"

The guy was already sweating a heck of a lot.  Wouldn't be that far a leap to convince him that it was due in part to the "poisoned paper" he ingested.

He believed that he was poisoned and thus started acting like that. Not sure if that's how it really works but it happens a lot in movies, anime etc.

It's not that he was acting per se.  He was trying to induce vomiting to get it out of his system, but was completely and utterly failing at it.

The answer you want to hear:  It's all a ruse.  Genta is actually the B.O. boss and he recruited these random B.O. members to be his "parents"
