If Akai, Okiya or someone 18+ would have Sex with Ai, would that abuse? I mean she is in reallity over 18.

Firstly, if it's not consensual, then no matter what her age is, it's abuse.  And if she's still in the body of a child, then it's statutory rape.  Many people who have had sex with minors have tried to use the excuse that the kid's mind was more mature, and almost every time that argument has failed.

Except in this case, it wouldn't be statutory rape, because she is in fact 19 (or however old she is), not 6. The "body of a child" argument holds about as much water as the "mature mind" argument, all that matters is that when they pull up her birth certificate as proof of age, it'll say she was born 19 years ago.

No, it would still be statutory rape in the mind of the police.  If they pull up her birth certificate, it would be the one for Ai Haibara, who is 8, not Shiho Miyano.  Despite Ai really being 18 or 19, if she told the police her real age the BO would inevitably find out.  Therefore, whether it's true or not, it would be considered statutory rape.

Besides, law is blind (here in America). Shiho is living under the false identity for Ai Haibara which has her as a minor IN the body of the minor. Law wouldn't see anything else. As for reporting...well anyone that felt like it could report it without evidence and someone would be there the next day at latest to verify the claim. Any harm involving a child is taken very seriously here.

Just to throw out an example, (true story) a 14yr old girl and 12yr old boy were in a relationship that resulted in "contact" and when the father of the girl found out he became enraged to the point of calling the police on the boy. The girl herself claimed to be the aggressor but the father didn't believe her while the boys family tried to pin it all on her but like I said the law is blind. Didn't matter how much the lawyers argued on who was to blame, finally ruling was that they BOTH violated the law and were BOTH charged with Statutory Rape ON EACH OTHER. So now a 14yr old girl and 12yr boy who (by their words) had a consensual relationship now have a record and are forever on the child molestation list which basically is a death sentence in society. Doesn't seem fair or right in this case (last thing I heard the families were trying to fight the ruling) but it just shows you how serious child abuse related laws are(at least here in America).

Although, I will agree that unless the person had some way of finding out / proving she was Shiho then it would probably be considered as such, whether it's the truth or not.

There is no solid evidence that Haibara does have a birth certificate but I think it would stand to reason that she would have all that required information as this angle was never used in the FBI arc. I doubt with all the recon the FBI was doing they wouldn't run a background check on Conan or Ai and if nothing came back the story would of unfolded differently. So it is possible that Yusaku used his influence at Interpol(or other places) to get Conan in the system(he did have a bank account in his name and other things that require government identification) and eventually did the same for Shiho on Conan's or Agasa's request.

But it wouldn't surprise me if Gosho just forgot about this and just started ignoring it while hoping the fans would make an answer for him...

lawl man I actually find all those instances where Kogoro hits Conan pretty funny it's common for parental figures to hit kids in Asia anyway, so to me it makes perfect sense if Kogoro does it and if it seems overdone isn't that the whole point? (to exaggerate it, for comedic purpose!!)

i wouldn't even comment on the Shiho thing, cos it is so obviously wrong, if that could happen then doesn't it mean Conan and her could do it too, since Shinichi is actually 18 by now?? (and that is too, too wrong) (I'm assuming the manga has moved by at least a year by now)
