I know one thing I would have changed regarding storyline. I would have introduce Haibara earlier and at the start she would have been a mysterious girl who drops every once in a while a cryptic sentence to Conan. At the start she'd be in a case, but won't become one of the detective boys, then later like after 10 cases, she'd be again in a case and only then reveal her true identity to Conan. However, it is flawed since Haibara lives with Agasa and it meant that Conan won't drop by Agasa until Haibara revealed her real identity.
If it had been done that way, the plot twist about Haibara would have been much more ehh...twisted...yeah, that's the word...I think

The entire idea of that was to introduce a character and suddenly and quickly change the plot because she's around. The fact that not much happened between 96 and 129 and the fact that a lot of characters are introduced (and lots of character development too) between that and the Pisco case made it work perfectly.

I would change a lot of the way Goshyo makes his suspects appear. Lately, he's made it obvious who the criminal is......I would make the criminal someone who wasn't even a suspect! Or do something spontaneous! Geez! No repeating of select suspects!

but then Haibara wouldn't be Haibara. And that would be almost as big of a tragedy as Kamiya Akira leaving.

Shoot, if I could redo some things I would:

1) Make Ran related to the BO in some big way.

2) Make a whole 1 hr episode of Shiho as an adult and her time in the BO.

3) Make an episode where Shinichi DOESN'T solve the case. (and Kogorou Mouri does lol  )

4) And make an interesting case with suspects that are completely different and someone you would never guess ever!

Well even if he can hit the right pitch, I really wish they didn't have that part or at least used someone else.

That's always bothered me too. I felt it was eroding Conan/Shinichi's weakness in music. I like the fact that Conan/Shinichi aren't perfect in everything. I would have given Conan a couple more intellectual weaknesses so that he is forced to rely on other characters a little more to make up for it. I would also have Conan make more mistakes more often or underestimate a culprit to keep him on his toes.

I would have liked to see a followup case involving the Night Baron virus which showed up in chap 73 and later when Ai got the info floppy from Prof Hirota.

A Kogoro suspecting Shinichi case would be fascinating. I would have expanded on that early plot point when Kogoro was kind of suspicious of Conan.

You don't need to be a musician to understand that it doesn't make sense anyway. If Conan has perfect pitch, he should be able to hear how he sucks while he sings, but it also means that he has the ability to correct himself. There are people who can sing good but they don't have a good hearing (and that's the worst kind of musicians  ). It's not unlikely that people have good musical hearing and they sing like a donkey (I have a friend like that, but that's because his voice doesn't really fit for singing) but they can still hit the correct tone. So The fact that Conan can hit the correct tone and has good musical hearing shows that he suppose to be able to sing well...but that was from the movies, but there isn't much sense in the movies anyway, so you can't expect them to get all the facts together as they should be.

Still, even in that Shinichi "already knew." Geez It's like Shinichi always has the upper hand on everything......I'd change that at least for one episode.

I would have liked it to remove Heiji completly from the "Haunted Warehouse" (690-692) case.

It was really nice having the Detective Boys en par with Conans deductions for a change. However I would have prefered it much more if they would be able to do this with their own power...
Ohh well. Maybe another time. (I know, there are a few Anime originals where this happened... but as a real "official" manga case it would be better.)
