Shinichi Better With Shiho?

I feel that it's unfair to call Ran stupid as well, since she isn't.  If anything, the girl is normal.  Average.  She does her schoolwork.  I don't recall it ever being referenced that she had trouble in school  or needed Shinichi's help to do it.

that pic resume  what i think about her... she's not stupid at all,but when she need help for something,she turns to Shinichi,even if he's not here...like a princess who wait for her prince to save her...i don't like when in a couple, someone seems too dependant on the other even if Ran has the ability of doing something,the author make her too dependant on shinichi ,how sad
i just want to say that it's the pairing that i dislike,not Ran(she's not my fav,but she's ok for me^^)

as for ai and conan(or Shinichi and shiho)have a very interesting,funny,touching and entertaining relationship,i totally fall in love with this "couple" when i saw how their  relationship has evoluated in the story...(seriously,when i started reading DC,i wouldn't have imagined that Conan would be friend(and very close) with the responsible(haibara) of his situation that's a pretty unexpected relationship,and we were the spactators of the evolution of their relationship so that's enough for me to like this "couple"...

@Chaosangel21: sorry,i don't want to repeat what i said in the thread "Ai+Conan"(there's 60pages now,so you can read all the opinions about this couple )but i'm always happy to see a new aicon fan^^

That still doesn't prove anything to me.  I also don't feel Ran is as dependent on Shinichi as you all make her out to be.  Not understanding a problem and asking for help on it is fine.  Being dependent on him, I'm not seeing.  That still doesn't prove she needs Shinichi or that she can't do her own school work unless Shinichi is there to help her.  IMO, I felt that she looked back because she expected that she and Shinichi would be taking the practice exams together.  It seems people forget that the two have been friends for years.  Worrying over his whereabouts or wondering about him is only natural.

This also doesn't prove that she's stupid.  At no point in the manga or the anime (to my knowledge) has it been said that she does terrible in school, and if Gosho wanted to show that, he would've shown that since Shinichi's been gone.

As I mentioned earlier, I'm a fan of Conan x Ai (I like Shinichi x Ran too, but like Conan x Ai more since it's more interesting to me), but I don't feel it's right to bash characters with claims that can't be fully proven.

As for the original post, calling Ran stupid because Shiho and Shinichi are smarter is kind of ehh....stupid...? 

If Ran is stupid, then Kogoro, Sonoko, Kazuha, Kir, Jodie, James and many more are also stupid. Because they also are not smart as Shiho, Shinichi, Heiji...

That's not stupid...that's called one being superstitious.  Kazuha is the same exact way, so does that make her stupid as well?  What about Kogoro in that case in the latest episode?  He believes in the Silver Witch after what he witnessed.  *Sucks I can't remember who the actual culprit is...read it too long ago* Aren't the Japanese known for legendary stories and curses and take them seriously, hence the prayer at temples and holidays geared towards making sure spirits are resting in peace?

Too many people are starting to disagree with that pairing....hmmm...something is afoot! A new generation *sighs.* Hey, this generation likes dark, mysterious types.....look at the movies popular today. And then the rise in horror and sci-fi mangas and animes.....it's getting out of hand...

Though I'm guilty because I love my Ai to death. But I never made a couple thread. I just like to look at the hole issue and give long explanations on facts that I analyze throughout the story.....

Thanks Ranger.....I needed to see a mirror of myself.....stating the obvious on me? I thought we were pals? Naw, but you're right. I am a lot like Shinichi, geez, even the know-it-all part. I need to get myself in check!  I am the stereotypical Taurus, always trying to be the "righteous good-guy", and talk too much about how much I know everything. It's a bad habit of mine. I can't help but pay attention to details and think logically! 

I tell you what, they need to stop making these tempting boards so I won't answer with responses....who am I kidding. Another noob might come next week and make the same thread! LOL

Maybe because we don't have any issues to talk about regarding their relationship since it is *highly probable* that Shinichi and Ran end up together at the end anyway? This is based on my opinion.

For other ShinRan fans or even if you're not a ShinRan fan, maybe you could add some reasons why we don't talk much of ShinRan relationship.

On the other hand, some people found AiConan pairing interesting (Their personalities, etc.) so I respect that since this is based on their taste/liking. Also, it is *probable* that they might be paired together.

But I'm still pissed when some people call Ran stupid. It is very unfair and unreasonable.
