Shinichi Better With Shiho?

I feel that it's unfair to call Ran stupid as well, since she isn't.  If anything, the girl is normal.  Average.  She does her schoolwork.  I don't recall it ever being referenced that she had trouble in school or needed Shinichi's help to do it.

Just because she's not a child prodigy like Shinichi or Shiho (outside the norm and also rare in a general sense), does not mean she's stupid.  I want someone here to explain how they even came to that conclusion in the first place.

No, I'm not a "Ran fan".  I like her character fine, but she's not a favorite.  As for me, I have favorite characters and non-favorite characters.  That aside, just showing I'm being objective here.  I'm also a Conan x Ai fan.

So, can anyone here explain to me how Ran is "stupid" amd actually give a logical explanation for it?

Okay maybe i should explain myself, when i called Ran stupid I was referring to her ignorance during the desperate revival arc, Hejii dresses up as Shinichi and was 10 times lighter than Shinichi's actual skin color and of course Ran bought it, if Kazuha wasn't there she would have totally bought it, then the real Shinichi shows up and Conan's skin color and attitude changes drastically and she still dosen't suspect anything, and of course the final nail in her idiotic coffin, when Shinichi slipped and called her Ran NEECHAN oh dear god and she didn't even question that?  

I disagree.  When Heiji appeared (disguised as Shinichi) Ran's reaction was rather casual, as if she knew someone was playing a trick:

As for Shinichi calling her Ran-neechan, he did that while standing right beside Conan.  Of course she wouldn't think 'Shinichi is Conan', because she can see them both side-by-side.

Even Hattori couldn't understand what was going on and had to be told.  He didn't pick up on the fact that Conan wasn't Shinichi just because of a skin colour and attitude change.

I think it's sometimes easy to take the whole shrinking thing for granted, and to forget how utterly strange and fantastical an idea that would be in real life.

that pic resume  what i think about her... she's not stupid at all,but when she need help for something,she turns to Shinichi,even if he's not here...like a princess who wait for her prince to save her...i don't like when in a couple, someone seems too dependant on the other even if Ran has the ability of doing something,the author make her too dependant on shinichi ,how sad
i just want to say that it's the pairing that i dislike,not Ran(she's not my fav,but she's ok for me^^)

as for ai and conan(or Shinichi and shiho)have a very interesting,funny,touching and entertaining relationship,i totally fall in love with this "couple" when i saw how their  relationship has evoluated in the story...(seriously,when i started reading DC,i wouldn't have imagined that Conan would be friend(and very close) with the responsible(haibara) of his situation that's a pretty unexpected relationship,and we were the spactators of the evolution of their relationship so that's enough for me to like this "couple"...

@Chaosangel21: sorry,i don't want to repeat what i said in the thread "Ai+Conan"(there's 60pages now,so you can read all the opinions about this couple )but i'm always happy to see a new aicon fan^^

That's really unfair.

Heiji dressed as Shinichi: Conan (Ai) was sitting right there with "fake Shinichi".  Who cares if Shinichi (Heiji) was lighter (even though I don't recall his being lighter than usual and I don't recall anyone pointing it out [Heiji is darker than Shinichi because he's from Osaka, which is south of Tokyo, meaning more sun]).  It was logical to assume that he was Shinichi.  That aside, not only did Ran buy it, so did everyone.

Shinichi shows up and Conan's skin color and attitude change dramatically:  How does this make Ran stupid?  Conan (Ai) was faking sick.  What person do you know who gets sick acts all hyper or energetic, unless you mean the lack of input from "Conan" when they found the victim dead.  There was no need for "Conan" to speak up because Shinichi and Heiji were there and everyone was so into those two (Shinichi especially), it doesn't surprise me that Conan (Ai) didn't stand out.

Ran Neechan:  Once again, Conan (Ai) was standing right there.  What's there to suspect and from what I recall, she did give him an odd look and he went on about how he was joking around, iirc.

It's pretty difficult to determine Conan = Shinichi when Conan and Shinichi (the real one) were in the same place multiple times during the entirety of the arc.

This does not show that Ran is stupid in the least.  You still haven't come up with anything logical to determine that.
