I wonder, if Sonoko found out Conan's identity, how happy she would be to have that blackmail towards him, compared to how sad she'd be after finding out that Conan was the reason she became the deduction queen.

That sounds like an interesting turn for the series to take and it might give a breath of fresh air to DC for a while. The cases are still above decent but we need more on the plot side to make it seem like Conan isn't just moving from case to case while Okiya/Akai arc plays out.

For the last time Okiya Subaru is not Shuichi, he is Bourbon. I can't wait  until it is confirmed that I am correct. 
(although I could see Gosho bringing Akai back like that, logic be damned)

I was actually just referring to the current arc as the Okiya/Akai arc as they are the main focus so far but Okiya not being Akai is slim at this moment. But anyway, who's up for a beauty queen Sonoko fan club? huh? anyone?/joke

No, that was rude. But implying that there's a greater chance of Okiya being so-so also makes pure anime readers think that there was some unknown plot progression in the manga that Okiya is really some guy...

Plus, I think Gosho was making it look like Okiya=Bourbon (in the current arc), so the "Okiya=/=Akai is slim" thing is quite... unjustified...

And, sad to say, but Sonoko's a minor character for me (well, she's 17... joke). Not as minor as Eri, but more minor than... say, Megure? She appears more frequently than other recurring characters, but that's only on general cases; she can't make a major plot twist on her own.

Unless, she finds out who Conan really is, which is what you guys were talking about. She'd probably keep on teasing Ran and Conan, and punch Conan in the head when she always gets hit with a stun-gun... Though I don't think the storyline will last for long if she really does... since if she knows, then Ran will, too...

No the "Okiya not being Akai is slim" is justified as Okiya just took a Ran kick to the face and disarmed a culprit matrix style while living in Shinichi's house(all happening in the anime). I think Gosho wants us to think this way, so like I said, I never spoiled anything but you have by given more weight to Kks comments. I'm also usually an anime before manga DC person myself so I really get what you are trying to do, I really do but like I said I haven't spoiled a single thing.

P.S.- Nope, I wasn't the rude one here. If he truly believed I posted a spoiler he would of handled it a different way such as PMing me,reporting it,etc. He just wanted to do his "I'm the internet tough guy" act again while assuming I was referring to an actual manga spoiler, which I'm not.

You know what Sonoko needs, more Makoto time. They should do a few episodes where he's actually there to stay for a while and participates in the cases. Maybe include an episode Makoto sees the deduction beauty queen .

High 5s. Everything is on track again. . So like I was saying, we need a mix up in DC. They would only add to the "filler" episodes but a fun episode with Makoto and Sonoko could help DC. Maybe a case where Makoto invites the gang to one of his tournaments and it ends up with a case in which he is the no.1 suspect because of being framed. This would be a perfect chance for him to see Sonoko in action and the funny moments that follow when she doesn't remember a thing.
