Characters that are most likely to die at the end of the ser

Ran - That's my AiCon-Fangirl side who voted for her, since an AiCon ending can't happen if she's alive.
My other side, though, doesn't want her to die or to be sad. *Dilemma*

It is a dilema... considering if Ran died... Shinichi will probably be like "I'll never love again" and Haibara would have to "wait forever" ... or something LOL.... that's the image I have in mind anyway ^_^

But for the same people - Think this way Kudo and Ai are back to full size. Ai help Kudo grieve Ran's Death. Slowly over time they get closer, Become better friends. Ai is alway there for Kudo. With more time they fall in love with each other. (maybe even Ran pushing them together like in some ghost movies)

Well I think that in a big battle between good and evil, probably at the end of the series, gin found out about Ai and try to torture her by killing those whom she cares about. Then just when gin was about to shoot Ran or Conan, Ai jumps out and sacrifice herself (aww). That's when conan got more furious than ever, and he knocked out Gin AND the BO Boss and everything became a lot easier afterwards

speaking of conan getting shot up, that gives me a sorta interesting idea.

Being that we've already seen that shifting from adult to child heals bullet wounds (as shiho seemed to stop bleeding when she turned into a kid again after getting shot 4 times, correct me if I'm remembering incorrectly), it might be the case that the kid->adult transformation does the same thing due to the massive cellular rearrangement.

So, it'd be interesting if kid conan got all shot up, then he has to take the APTX atidote (still a temporary one probably, but hopefully won't require a cold by now) in front of everyone to stay alive, revealing his secret and making everyone around him go "HOLY FUUUUUUUU, CONAN JUST TURNED INTO SHINICHI OH MY GOD".

i think (as almost everybody does) ran is still the main girl and will end with shin'ichi.
although personally, i'd like it to be ai.

I don't really see Aoyama killing off Shiho after having her accept Shin'ichi's promise to protect her, Akemi sacrifice herself attempting to help, and Ran risk her life to protect her. Maybe if she dies while protecting total strangers it would show her association with the kids and Shin'ichi changed her morals completely. Maybe Aoyama intends a shocking dark end that'll kill most everyone Shin'ichi cares about. Otherwise it would just be pointless.

Assuming Vermouth actually re-thought her own morals after Ran saved her, she's a much better choice jump in front of a bullet meant for someone like Ran or Shin'ichi.

Ran's death I can see, but it'd be senseless too, IMO, if it only makes Shin'ichi want to "try harder" rather than actually humble him. Certainly senseless just to please Haibara fans.

I do see some recurring character deaths once the ending story arc starts, recurring character invulnerability tends to wear off as series end. I also want to count Akemi's death as precedent for on-scene non-back-story hero death, even though she was only in one canon story outside of flash-backs. (Heh, and maybe Akai set a clearer precedent for recurring character/hero death...)

I voted for the Bo and FBI cause thats probably the case. Maybe Akai comes back and die again? XP
But Okiya and Ran and Ai/Shiho also got my vote, would make things more interesting.^^

HMMM...not all haibara fans want to see Ran's death in the end... for me it would be useless...

i voted for Shiho,even if i don't wan't that to happen (she's hunted by the BO members,they won't leave her alone easily)don't know why, i have the feeling that she will sacrifice herself for some reason...
but really if gosho did that it would be sad and quite unfair,so i hope he won't do that

i also voted for FBI members(i thought about Akai,in a final battle with gin) and voted for BO members(especially the boss,i always believed that the boss would die ,i can't see him arrested and sent into jail)

i'm sure there will be a lot of wounded persons ,but that's an other subject...

I somehow understand what you mean, as I explained above... Shinichi would go "I won't love anyone anymore" and Sherry would just remain his best friend... and if Ran lives, Shin and Ran got married and Sherry can remains his best friend... either way...

I think that there shouldn't be a huge kill-off at the end, but that some people should die. Here is my list. However, I would not want all of these to happen, just one or two.

If Okiya is innocent, he could die.
Either Conan or Ai could die. (for survivor!angst)
Heiji coudl die. (again, for the angst, but out of all of these idea, this is the most likely one to me. Which may just be because he is one of my favorite characters, and I like to see them die...)
Ran could die. (for angst)
Yuusaku might die, whether he is the boss or not. (either could be interesting)
Vermouth is going to die, no matter the ending, in some dramatic way.
Sonoko might die, protecting Ran in some way. (just made that one up, but I really really actually like it...)

I can imagine like takagi saving Sato or something and he takes a bullet...it would be bittersweet and ironic, because takagi looks like matsuda Jinpei and they both died to save other people.

i just hope it's not like in harry potter where everybody who's ever meant something to anybody dies... except for the few main characters.

One scene I do wanna see (kind of again):

Yukiko will drive in with her motor bike to rescue Conan, and she finds him severely injured. She brings him to the hospital using her cleavage (think episode 96). LOL!
