they'll just pull the famous "and it was aaaallllllllllll a dream" thing.
I'd probably murder somebody.

I'd laugh.
Especially if it ends with the usual Shinichi makes a witty comment like the end of a lot of cases.

Nah, just kidding.

ssjup81 wrote:Realistically, all Shinichi has to do is pass his end of year exams, which he probably could anyway since he's so smart, and, as I pointed out before, in Japan, you can't just "skip grades". I don't think it's done over there. Anywho, even though he's missing a lot of school, it probably won't matter to much. As far as I know, attendance isn't really a big factor, unless one is out for like medical reasons or something.

Chiyo from Azumanga Daioh could skip grades.
If Eri can get a Harvard scholarship at 16 then I don't think Shin'ichi would have too much problem finding a university that would accept him even if he blows his junior year in high school.

kirite wrote:Not to mention Shinichi probably missed lots of class by travelling all over the place on short notice to solve cases, it's probably why his class isn't too concerned by his disappearance.
Shinichi's practically given in his seat as a detective anyways, with the whole "savior of the Japanese police force" dealy at the beginning.
It'll be hillarious if Shinichi fails though xD. Sonoko will make him call her sempai!
Shinichi: Sonoko-s-s-s-sempai *twitch*.

Actually... "Skipping grades" http://www.ed.gov/pubs/JapanCaseStudy/chapter2c.html Last paragraph XDDD
Eri... was because of US interference XDDD... but she can recommend her friend's son I guess XDDD LOL
ssjup81 wrote:I doubt Shinichi will flunk out. The requirement for college/university there is a high school diploma and being able to pass the entrance exam.
