yes you did, because other anime = competition = less ratings for Conan = better chance of cancellation for DCFTW
I mean, there are only 3 anime that I think are even close to being as good as Conan, so I agree with what you meant. Or what I think you meant or...

What I meant is that DC is the best (well at least in my opinion) and it WILL end when it is supposed to end. As far as I'm concerned, I don't worry about its ratings because I don't think lower ratings will be the cause to end DC, mainly because I believe DC will never get that low, or it'll end right before it gets that low.
In short - I'm too optimistic. xD And destiny will decide when DC will end, so why worry?

last time I checked ratings (a few months ago) it was still beating One Piece anime (based off of the best selling manga of all time, just so you know) so ???

After hearing this, i have a feeling that conan's one of the lesser-liked shows in Japan, but thats hard to believe since its been on for like 15 years
can someone kinda give me a popularity check with Detective Conan?

I agree but as anyone who watched wrestling in the late 90s can tell you, you wouldn't believe how quickly ratings can change for long running shows. (one show goes from a 3 to a 6 (with a decent amount of 7s in there too) in 2 years and another is pratically the complete opposite)
And here I thought that repetitiveness was a norm in Japan as far as entertainment goes. If it's not broke, don't fix it. Guess the formula works for him. Besides, after so many cases, it's bound to repeat at some point. Look at all the locked room cases the series has had.kkslider5552000 wrote:I don't care what his opinion of the series is.
I care that he is repeating himself and thinks that the creator of the series has to agree with him.
Oh yeah. He wanted to end Dragon Ball after the Cell Saga, right? Or was it even earlier? Takeuchi Naoko, Sailor V/Sailor Moon creator, originally wanted to end Sailor Moon after the first main series against Beryll and her minions. The fans wanted more, hence the filler arc for the first few episodes of Sailor Moon R since she had to come up with a story manga wise.Besides, if Gosho doesn't like DC anymore, than Akira Toriyama (the creator of Dragonball) has had many suicidal thoughts every day for the past 15 years.
