In order to make up for the holiday-induced delay of our Conan & Kindaichi DS translation project, we decided to do something just for fun that should serve as a nice curiosity for fans old and new. As you may know, some of the older Playstation games bearing the Detective Conan brand featured animated clips complete with voiceover and by the same teams responsible for the anime itself. Unfortunately, these games were never officially localized and are huge undertakings to translate for fans. As such, we decided to go ahead and answer some fellow fans' requests and subtitle these short clips from them for everyone to see. This way, even if you never get to play the games yourself, you can at least experience this small part of them that will come in a familiar form.

If anyone has access to the original games and wants to properly extract the videos, we will consider subtitling the rest of the anime clips from them for posterity's sake. Please keep in mind we will NOT be translating the full games, however.

PLEASE NOTE: DCTP has no intention of translating either of these video games. We will only be translating Detective Conan & Kindaichi Case Files: Chance Encounter of 2 Great Detectives for Nintendo DS. Anyone wishing to translate these clips into their own language or use these translations in a subsequent translation project of said game are welcome to do so.

Are you talking about the moments at 1:10 and 6:10? If so, those are translated and presented at the top of the screen.

The subtitles for the board messages are there. Like "The Emperor's New Clothes", only smart people can see it

So is that one game entirely from the perspective of Kogoro? Because that would be pretty awesome.

There are three cases in that game, the first two from Conan's perspective, and two-thirds of the last case from Kogorou's. Unfortunately Shinichi revealed his Jaguar disguise and stole the limelight from him.

These are really awesome. It really makes me wish more Detective Conan games were translated.

Oh wow. The art style and music really gives you a dose of nostalgia. You were right on what you posted, Jd-. I bet no one in the forum expected you guys to give this little treat for the fans.
