Yes it was movie only and yes that was implied which was my point. Eri didn't notice he was worried about her, she just assumed he was being a jerk and insulting her food like many times in the past. If your way of thinking and communicating is so different that it can't be understood by your love one and is only taken at face value, then all you'll do is insult/drive them away and since you think you didn't do anything wrong, you'll start acting stubborn at the thought of going after them.Just to clarify...that's movie only right? And didn't they imply that he only got angry because he was worried about her because she should be resting and not cooking for him? o_o
I judge it on a movie per movie basis. Just because movie X,X25,X50 are inconsistent with the storyline doesn't mean I go back and say "OMG these are all LIES then". If a movie doesn't create a plot hole and appears to be like something that would somewhat fit the manga, I see it as canon..until the manga proves otherwise. In anycase, I never took the movie into canon story (if you want though, I'll keep that in mind though ^^).
They the only end up together by accident or by Ran's doing. So point is they aren't going out of their way to be with each other when outside forces aren't involved. Each is too stubborn to go back to the other without any excuses and neither can fully comprehend what the other is thinking because they are so different which leads to more "pssh if they were sorry they would do X, so why should I be the one to go back and apologize".With that said I don't think they're trying to be together for Ran's sake. I mean they already stayed apart for 10 years before that (during Ran's childhood and teen years, the years where she really needs Eri most), parents aren't that selfless ya know, their own personal relationships is always more important ^^.
No, I don' think Shinichi bad, my point was it was Ran's choice to do all that for Shinichi so she shouldn't have an expectation that Shinichi is going to put in the same amount effort all the time into the relationship as she does(though she has every right to believe that he should and would). It's unrealistic to believe so.Omg now that you mentioned it poor Ran D:. Still I don't think Shinichi's that bad ^^...right D:?
Also I find it funny that I'm putting so much effort into arguing that Shinichi & Ran shouldn't be together in the long run because it will only hurt them...but every time I watch episodes like 193 I start screaming DAMN YOU GIN, how dare you rip and keep this couple apart..you should be ashamed, ASHAMED. Yep I'm a weird one
