Nah, she's dead. The scene had the right sense of finality, and it's unlikely Conan would mistake a trick for a gunshot wound when Akemi is dying in his arms.

yeah,I hope so...it's one of the rare canon pairing that I really like(with YukikoxYusaku)... I want to see more Shiho/Akai and Shiho/Akemi flashback too...relationship between sisters is as interesting as the romantic one... $:-\$
I really hope Gosho will do that

YukikoxYusaku is just win! They remind me of Ai and Conan, but older.

And I'd also like to see Akemi's past along with Akai and Shiho.. We've only seen the 2 sisters together once..
I wish Aoyama made more of them!

Me too. I'm still hoping Gosho will find some way to re-introduce back in, though I'm pretty sure that's not going to happen.
