What was the worst Dub Name Change in your opinion?

I don't know why, but I imagine they will probably call Satou Sarah. I don't like the name, but it just seems like something they would do.

I would have to say Heiji's cause his is just dumb, but then again so is Anita which is Ai's. I wish they would just leave stuff alone when they translate it. that would make the fans and everybody happy. the again I do believe Mouri had to be changed cause it wouldn't sound right when they say their names in english.

I haven't seen the Case Closed anime, but as for the manga... Ai's name is worst. Anita Haley is pretty bad anyway, but is totally unsuited for Ai. Inspector Shiritori's takes a close second. Honestly, Inspector Santos?

that always annoyed me about the people who (were more than justified at) complaining about 4kid's One Piece dub. Ok, so they ruined the soundtrack, had some truly abysmal voices, stupid puns, made the series look like it is for 5 year olds and made edits for no reason on top of edits so that it could shown on the FoxBox or whatever even though they used the same types of editing when it was on CN. BUT THEY CHANGED ZORO TO ZOLO?! THAT'S THE STRAW THAT BROKE THE CAMEL'S BACK 4KIDS! i hate u 

also, if there is any chance that I didn't tell tantei okuoku yet, I don't hate the Conan dub at all. In fact, I watched episode 42 (41 in the original) on Funi's channel (yes I stayed up that late). It was very enjoyable. It just should still be much, much better (especially considering that basically everything I've seen on Funi's channel (probably like 15 shows) has been awesome dub after awesome dub (and Jing pretty much proved that it could be better))

Ran Mouri: Claudia Guzmán
Professor Agasa: Profesor Cardillo

and Heiji Hattori has 5 names in the series!!!! (a new name in every apparition)

Episode 49: Alfredo Adame
Episode 57: Héctor Garza
Episode 77: Nano Díaz
Episode 78: Marcos (this is funniest, because in this chapter, 77's second part, all the characters as a different name than in the last episode).
Episode 116: Alex
Episode 118: Alfredo (OMG!!! They remembered his name!!!)

And Sonoko has alot of names too:

Susana/Sarita/Anabela/Alicia/Cecilia/Sonia

so what do you think? i seen the english dub and i love it! its very close to the japanese version!

In Latin American just we have 123 episodes (the dub was made in Los Angeles between 1998 and 2000) and stopped due to low ratings.

Now very soon will arrive to our territory two features of Detective Conan (maybe based on the english' version), so i prefer English names to Latin Spanish names!!!.

Well i gotta go now, I hope not to have extended myself a lot

lol... I always thought that the American name changes were weird, but the Latinamerican ones are just ridiculous (and hilarious). And not even sticking to the same name for one character.... omg - Bobby *laughs*
Compared to that the German dub is really good-they stick to the Japanese names for the most part and normally even try to explain the cases based on Japanese culture or language etc.
But on topic-I really don't like "Booker" and "Harry Wilder"... I don't think Rachel and Anita are too bad-they sound sort of similar to the original names at least...
