I agreed with those scenario..

We need some plot twist like that happened (Accidental Kiss, confession, or one of them got gravely injured while protecting each other) in the Manga to speed up the process..

And if nothing of these happens (ever) - because there is no process to "speed up", because they are not interested in each other in any way and will never be - how long would it take before you people stop waiting for it?

At least Ayumi kissed Conan already (on the cheek).  :P Intentionally, I might add.

When I saw this thread, I just knew where to start posting!  Nice to meet you everyone!
I'm so happy to see that there're many AixConan fans out there!  At first, I thought that this pairing wouldn't have many supporters because it's not "canon" (in quotation because the story hasn't ended yet... there's still hope ).

I just started reading Detective Conan again a few months ago, and found this site while downloading the manga.  I started reading Conan over 10 years ago.  I bought and read every volume as it came out.  After moving to the US, I stopped reading manga until last year, but I'm catching up again! 
Back then, I was a ShinxRan fan.  Ran had all the characteristics that made her seem perfect, especially when paired with Shinichi.  And then Ai was introduced.  She became my favorite character instantly.  But I was still supporting ShinxRan, because my 8-years-old self thought childhood friends getting together was perfect.  Whatever the manga stated, that was it.  Well, I didn't question much then.
Now, when I read everything over again, I can really enjoy it in a different ways.  Instead of just reading it, I can now understand what's going on lol.  When I got to the part where Ai was introduced again, I started to see her in different light.  Then she started to like Conan, I just forgot about ShinxRan and became her supporter. 

I want to try reading this whole thread, but the 220 pages look pretty intimidating...  it'll take a while. xD
