My thing is...with this whole thing...is that yes, it is very easy to sayKleene Onigiri wrote:"One person" is generally meant. One person behaves badly and the "whole group" (be it AiCon or ShinRan) will be labeled as "bashers, flamers etc". Way to go! :3
@rin-chan:
I don't want to sound rude, but if you don't want the get "bashed" then don't start to bash people ;p (some of your statements sound a big "aggressive")
And another thing. Your "writing-style" is kinda off.... it's hard to read with all that bold, cursive, colored and underlined text :/
The point is, that if there is "one black" sheep in a group, then people usually tend to tread the whole group as such. So for example someone from ShinRan-group made a negative comment in the AiCon thread, or even started to bash etc. But this doesn't mean that everyone who supports ShinRan is like that.
For me it's not unnecessary. Since I just wanted to help her to notice something that makes it hard/annoying for me to read. Because if it stays like that, then I'll just skip her post altogether.Detective Prince wrote: And you see commenting on her typing was unnecessary.
And if my commenting on her typing was unnecessary, then your commenting on my unnecessary behavior is unnecessary too ;p
Yeah, for you. But making every text bold etc. makes it seem aggressive. Also stating that ShinRan-fans would come here and "bash" her immediately isn't very nice tooDetective Prince wrote: I didn't see anything that agressive...Because they could just come and state their own view on a polite way. Because this is indeed a Discussion-Forum

"I like Ai/Conan because...." but when you go into a ran/Shinichi thread, it is very difficult for me to say why I dislike RanxShinichi without everybody saying "you're bashing" and vise versa, when Ran fans come to Ai/Conan. The thread shouldn't only be about characters you like, but characters that you dislike within a story. It's discussion, and just like people, there are going to be characters/foods/items you dislike/don't trust/or disagree with. People have their reasons for liking things, and some people don't understand their reasons.
No one should put them down just because they say something that everyone else doesn't agree with or understand, but it's hard not to for those people as well.
There is no way of making "dislike" into a positive thing. So that means if someone dislikes the couple or character, they are going to state their reasons why, which is going to be negative. So technically if you don't like the couple, and express your views on it, you are "bashing". which to me is difficult to talk positively about a couple you dislike so this can seem unfair. The reasons are going to have to be on the basis of the personalities represented, and the way the couple is projected.
I think it is safe to say "Please don't bash me" considering there is a lot of bashing going on in these threads because ppl tend to take things the wrong way often (myself included). That's just a precaution for anyone not to harm her idea yet because she is new. That was a sign that she was not intending harm but expressing why she liked Ai/Conan and didn't like Shin/Ran. There is obviously a reason she doesn't like the canon romance, and yes the answer is going to be anything but nice, because you can't dislike something and say something good about it. you can say the pros and cons of a the relationship, which I tried to do, but ppl only see more of the negatives, even when you try to be diplomatic. I say state your opinion, and weigh the consequences and be prepared for responses. This person probably has also seen the negative feedback in other boards that led this person to defend herself before she got bashed.
