Ai will either end up alone (yet happy with her friends and Agasa) OR end up with someone else (who loves her more than Conan). Conan will go back to being Shinichi and end up with Ran. End of the story. XD

As much as I want those two to end up together, I know they won`t. It`s just that the reason why I like this pairing is because it`s a little bit different from the others (a detective and an ex-memeber of one of the most dangerous organization out there. not a normal and common pairing you see, right?)  I`m tired of those ``childhood lovers`` pairings, meaning ShinichiRan HeijiKazuha KaitoAoko. There`s just too many of those pairings. Maybe because it`s just too sweet and common that makes it tiring for me. (Dont misunderstand. Im not trying to bash those pairings.And pleease. Don`t kill me for this! *hides*) But even though I know they won`t be together in the manga, At least there are some ConanAi centered fanfics out there that I can enjoy and read!

Shiho and Shinichi is the only romance I've ever enjoyed watching in any anime series. Sad to say that it won't happen because it would spoil all that kiddy highschool sweetheart potential between Shin and Ran, not to mention all those movies and episodes before Shiho was introduced.

In my opinion, the only real problem with this show is its length and the fact that it has to be drawn out with comedy and storybook romance between Shin and Ran. I know it's not really an adult's series, and is more geared to the TV-13+ audience, but I've only recently watched episodes 345 and 425 (yesterday and today, respectively) and the parts I'm finding myself rewatching are the planning/plotting scenes with Shiho and Shinichi. The two together have great chemistry, as well with Agasa, and allow the mood to become very relaxed even when it should be quite tense. What I don't want to see is this being ruined by Shinichi and Shiho getting the antidote and either parting ways or always having Ran with them. At this point in the story, little to no "plotting" will be required, and the best way I can think of to keep up the drama is for Shinichi to fall for the "other girl". That's not to say I want it to turn into a love triangle—this is purely speculation, and will almost certainly not happen—nor do I want Ran killed off or excluded. The fact is, it's the author's fault for creating this conundrum; at the end of the series, someone will be very disappointed.

However, leaving Shiho with nothing and Shinichi with his perfect life and girlfriend is far from fair, mostly because she has become my favorite character (in my short time catching up with the series; bear in mind that I haven't seen nearly half the episodes everyone else here has). You'll probably agree that complex personalities such as Shiho's don't come along often in an anime series; especially not one geared toward a young-ish audience. As a result, it's a bit of a treat when she actually seems cute, as she's usually closed off or completely serious, whereas characters like Ran act like that all the time and are, put bluntly, annoying. And since Shiho is a bit of a negative character, it wouldn't make sense to leave her without any gain besides some abstract character development. Who would really care about that at that point?

That being said, I think there is hope for her yet. Someone in her family is certainly still alive. It would certainly suck if they were "that person", though.

As for having the Detective Boys involved in their romances, that's ridiculous.

this love triangle is a bit 'blurry' right now, gosho isnt puttin enough effort in it recently, but he will def clear it up as a final push to the grand finale of DC.

Where, where?! Where have you found ConanxAi fanfics? I've been searching for ages to find good fics about this pairing, but alas, I have found none. Do you have any links?

Well, back to the topic. I support ConanxAi, because I think it's cute and quite canon-ish. I'm saying that it's only "quite canon-ish", because I don't want the series to end with this pairing. I hope wholeheartedly that Shinichi and Ran will be able to be together at the end of the series, and I'll be really mad if that doen't happen or Aoyama kills Ran off or something like that.
I support the pairing also because it's not one of the "childhood friends falling in love"- relationships that are quite popular in this series. I agree with Jing, the plotting is one of the reasons why I like them.

Way to go, ConanxAi! (But I still hope that Shinichi and Ran will be together in the end. I'm quite strange, aren't I?  )

Seriously? I always wonder what kind of people has so much time to just waste it away sending childish hate mail. I never have gotten any hatemail, but I think I'd find it very amusing to read it. As long as they don't go too far in their anger and don't sign you up for weird things, that is. Was it because you gave positive (maybe someone who really doesn't want to see Ai x Conan end up together? XD) or negative comments (although I think you should at least be prepared for negative comments the moment you make something public)?

that's BAKA!! AI and Conan? don't be ridiculous!! I mean he didn't show any feelings for her right? I don't no why some of you hate Ran, I love her very much and for her waiting for shinichi shows how courageous she really is !! moreover , i agree with the ones who say that Ai will stay a child because it's the best ending for her because she found a father(Agasa) and friends, and she will be good with Mistuhiko!! The most pitiful girl is Ayumi , I think she will miss Conan a lot , but I don't no how Aoyama Gosho will make a happy ending for her!! I just wish it will be a happy ending with everyone smiling !! If you notice Conan is now throwing the same level of "beat around the bush" lines to Haibara he once did to Ran at the start of the series.

Not to mention that there are more several moments between Ai and Conan, so unlike you believe, he has shown feelings towards Haibara, just no where near the level of what he feels for Ran at the moment. I like Ran but the length of the series has turned her into a bland character that revolves around Conan/Shinichi most of the time. She really doesn't have the same deepth Haibara's character has which is why I'm a fan of Ai/Conan. I think in the long run, the differences between Shinichi and Ran will just drive them apart like Mouri and Eri. I also want to see and ending where Conan makes good on what he told Haibara in The Missing Watch Case.
I never want to see her cry anymore...even if it means I no longer exist in her heart.
