You are missing the point. The point is it doesn't matter if Ran will end up with Shinichi, I still feel Ai looks better with Conan, and I was explaining why I feel that way. Just because Ran and Shinichi will end up together, doesn't mean I think it's a good idea, yes, it is my opinion. I don't like Shin/Ran together, I find their episodes to be the most annoying, and I find Ai/Conan more entertaining. But isn't that what this thread is all about? The person asked is there something between them. Who knows-I think there is. There is SOMETHING. Who knows what it is. It is your opinion if you feel Shin/Ran look better together, but as for me, I don't. Also, I can see a possibility of anything changing in any story, as no one is the writer on this board.

What I've been trying to explain was why I feel they look better together. I'm not trying to prove whether or not Shiho will end up with Shinichi or Conan/Ai will end up together. I know that Ran will more than likely end up with Shinichi. I'm not trying to bring evidence to contradict that theory. But I am showing you why I feel the way I do about this situation, and hopefully you can see a different perspective on this, instead sticking with what you've always known. Ran is the first girl, so what? That doesn't mean that Ai and Conan don't or wouldn't look better together. But I feel that it is not the best relationship/partnership (love or not) out of the two. So, I don't AGREE with Gosho's pairing. However, I can clearly see that something is going on between Ai and Conan, and no one knows what just yet.

I just can't see Ran/Shin getting along for life after high school....from watching their personalities, I just can't get into it. I'm sorry.

the point is that right now coai doesn't seem to be developing much, but even i find it obvious that sooner or later it will.

sure the evidence for shinxran is overwhelming, but it doesn't prove that coai won't happen, all it says is 'so far shinxran is the most likely outcome'

you can say this is like a science vs religion arguement, religion has no proof whatsoever, but science can't prove it is all cr@p either.

I agree with you  on this. But it's strictly opinion who LOOKS better with who. Who will END UP with who is something entirely different.

I couldn't agree more. Its like I said before, the quality in relationships is nowhere in site in many animes. The relationship can't just have a beginning and then end.  It has to have a beginning, rising action, Climax, then falling action. Finally the end.
Boring, Canon, typical love story......
Ran loved Shinchi and then all he has to do is confess, then thats the end.
Exciting, interesting, entertaining love story........
Ai and Conan start off as untrustworthy, then getting to know each other, then kinda liking each other, but denying it to each other, getting closer and closer, then wouldn't it be awesome if they actually start to fall in love and can't stop thinking about one another as much as they don't want to at first, but the feeling can't be helped, in turn him realizing what true love really means, regardless of the appearance of a person or their personality from the outside, learning anyone can fall in love and be loved. An arrogant person like him realizes he's caring towards another individual that needs him more than anyone else in the world. He also starts to change into a better person as they get closer, as well as Ai. Thats entertaining.

as the topic title implies, this is a discussion for all who like conanXai pairing.. many have said that they sense something between the two and would like to see them end up together.. also that the interaction between the two is much more interesting than shinXran.. this is only opinion based, so there is actually no need to quarrel unless someone intentionally insults another.. and there is no need to add fuel to the oil by insulting back..

in my opinion, i like moments between conanXai and also shinXran.. both relationships are very different from each other.. as of this moment.. conan knows that he loves ran and that he wants to turn back to shinichi and be with ran.. this is the only point that is clear to me right now.. so unless gosho have something unexpected happening in the future.. for example, there is no antidote or that he realises that he doesn't love ran after all [strictly examples only].. otherwise it is clear as of now that the ending should be that conan turn back to shinichi and be with ran..
