Something like that happened.

When Ran got sick and Conan said she is remembering that case. Granted Ran was awake,  and Delirious from a high fever from doing too much.

Really? I can't remember that one... which case? I remember the NY case but I think Conan didn't say much then. Just the line, "What if you faint again?" Although thats a big hint to Ran that Conan = Shinichi... but yeah, I doubt that she'll remember that with the high fever she's having.

i doubt she'll ever find out, conan will turn back into shinichi, then he'll make some half assed excuse about what happened to conan

I'd be pretty surprised if he never told her about Conan after the fact.  She'd really miss Conan, and he needs to own up to the biggest lie he's ever told.  There's only one truth.

I don't know if he is goint to tell her or if she's going to realize that Conan = Shinichi in that moment.

I think that after he gets his body back she's going to suspect about him again and ask him about it.

keep in mind that conan is only supposed to be with kogoro and ran until his parents come back, which would be a perfect excuse for him suddenly vanishing

I know you meant learning about it in a way that she can't be tricked again, but even finding solid proof (seeing the voice changer work, comparing his fingerprint patterns) wouldn't necessarily mean she'd confront him with it rather than play along. She was already content to play along in secret after becoming certain Conan was Shin'ichi sometime after volume 14 (and almost certainly before the Araide case*). Basically all we got was a Ran who was happy enough to stop waiting by the phone (off-scene behavior noted by Conan) and who refused to bathe with Conan. For it to really change things, Conan would also have to know he's caught for good, and that probably won't happen until the end, if ever.

* Conan himself notes her attitude change at the beginning of the case.

Well, basically what I'm saying is once it's unquestionably out there.  Either the series has to end pretty soon or the series likely jumps the shark.

They could go that route again, but each time Ran has "found out" it's been done differently.  Still, there might be something building up again as Ran noticed the problem with Heiji's handcuff charm.

Oh, and the whole fingerprint situation is something they've tried to ignore as Conan can't get around it, but they may finally pull the trigger on it (non-canon Movie 13 aside) sooner or later.  The whole bit at the end of Red and Black with Conan's phone might lead to it as well.

gosho hopefully will rap things up before chapter 1000.
otherwise i might loose faith in the manga.

Personally, I'm going to be VERY sad when the series end.
So I want at least 1,000 episodes before it ends D:



And I don't want Ran to find out about Conan.
Cause there were some awkward moments and she might feel a little different with Shinichi.
Just maybe though.
