Yeah, they should've cast for the best looking determined scowl/glare. Looks like they went for cute-girl-next-door instead of bishojo. Live action Shiho on the other hand was very beautiful.
Oh, and Ran suffered a fracture just from kicking wooden boards repeatedly? Seriously? Couldn't they have had Ran kick through the boards in ONE kick, with the top boards collapsing onto her leg instead?
* That reminds me, looking back at the Coded Map story, Ayumi did call Ran a beauty. I think Kirite already pointed that out in a previous discussion, but I didn't read carefully and confused that with the "big butt" stuff from Mystery in the Net instead. I guess Ran is supposed to be bishojo after all, and isn't simply a clone of Aoko despite the similar character design.
even Sonoko was prettier, the cute girl looked younger than 17 I think, specially with a very tall Shinichi with her, I think Ran is supposed to be a bit shorter than him .
Well if Ran is a Libra ( I believe she was if I'm not mistaken)....Libra's best features are their butts, their beauty, but they have chubby cheeks. They have clear skin. They are supposed to be cute and girly and adorable (unlike the Taurus which is womanly, graceful, and dignified).
Just a reminder that except for Kaito's, Hakuba's, and (kinda) Aoko's birthday none of the characters in DC actually has a birthday. Gosho didn't even hint at their month =A=.
Shinichi's birthday is made up by the movie people it doesn't count.
*goes back into corner*
Hey, I have an idea, let's have a THIS SUCKS / NO THIS SUCKS / NO YOU / NO YOU argument for a couple pages, that will really be great. - Ingmar
Sometimes is got confused 'cuz other eople said that is on May 5th (And I confuse the dates sometimes) but this is from Gosho Aoyama so, there's no doubt about it

Thanks for the link KaitoGirl95, that confirm the DC movie one information . So, Shinichi really is a 17 years old boy and not a 16 years old boy like I think . Well, Shinichi say he was 16 years old in volume one, so, the logic is that in movie 1 he celebrated his 17 birthday 8).
Now only I wonder… WTF Gosho Aoyama don´t say how old Ran really is???

It's just his style. We know less than 5% of the birthdays of the characters in DC.
