I think these two cases might actually point towards Ai actually being more of a Watson for Conan. Added spoiler tags. - Abs.
She'll also play a pretty big role towards the finale and there will probably be more cases when we get nearer to it.

I believe she is more of his Irene Adler <3 I'm positive that is what Gosho wanted us to see. Conan is Sherlock. Haibara is Irene Adler. Heiji is probably watson or maybe Haibara is Irene/Watson. Detective Boys are the Baker Street Irregulars. Beika = Baker. Am I forgeting someone.
