I'll be honest. My first impression on Ai and Conan's relationship were similar to those who are FuBus. They just seemed to have a connection that runs somewhat unspoken between them. I was even more convinced whenever I see them investigating side by side, Ai teasing Conan and just the two of them having their usual chat. Their relationship grew and, before I knew it, I didn't see them as FuBus anymore. But, rather, soulmates. :3
It's hard when everyone you know who watches Detective Conan ships ShinRan and you're in the minority.
I used to have a streotypical view of soulmates, where in it's like he/she's "the one" until I watched DC. I just realized that your soulmate doesn't necessarily have to be your lover. It can be someone whom you have an unspoken yet deep connection no one could ever reach. Your soulmate could be your teacher, best friend, sister, brother, mother, father, boss, partner in crime, etc.
It can also be the person who caused your body to shrink. :p

Yeah, I agree with you. Your soulmate can match you better than your lover indeed. Conan/Ai talks in the mutual vibe which I really fond of. Me dont care about Gosho's romance because it's so childish for my taste. Conan/Ai is freshly awesome and I never get bored watching their countership.
Conan/Ai can be partners until they will grow old and it'll be fun to see
I like Ran, and I like ShinRan too, but Conan and Haibara is definitely something special. I have already seen the pretty & kind little Princess get the guy against my will in most of the animes I've watched, I really wish I can get my couple this one time.
It's true that Ran is Kudo's princess, but Haibara is his Queen.

Sorry but your last statement is it a way funny. Kudo's Princess being might mean that Ran's dad (in this example) would be Kudo, and as Haibara is Kudo's Queen that would mean his wife and their child (assuming marriage fidelity) would be Ran. So ShinRan would be (in this example) incest and this not allowed.
