Again, what actually makes me angry is that Conan's suicidal stupidness was in vain because up until now since the whole "the box of pandora should never be opened" Anokata's mail was never heard of again.

Depending on how long DC will go on before or rather if it ever ends, 'later on' could be in 5 years :/ But, let's all hope, we'll see some AiCon soon

Well, I guess that the Ran+Shin pairing is much more better..

As of now it seems like ShinRan has been granted a walk over, we might never know what pairing was the better one and it isn't fun to win if there's no competition, is it?

I seriously doubt that. Your statement kinda implies that some people would buy the manga only if the love triangle was inserted and developed, but then that's a bit missing the point of the series. Plus, it's not like most romances in the manga are good to begin with.

Well, now that we are already talking about reviving the triangle: How, especially considering what happened in the London Arc, do you think the Triangle could be brought back if Gosho wanted to? My best bet would bet that, like Ai foretold, Ran wants to see him now even more, and their interactions start to get troubled because the she can't comprehend why she can't see him. Relationship crisis galore... But even from there it would be a long way to an actual love triangle.

What I could see would be the revival of Ai's feelings, leading to some development between her and Conan and maybe a clarification of conan's view of their "relationship" (good friends or brotherly/sisterly-love or not very probable: light romantic feelings).

If we get to see her feelings again, but they are unresolved until the end, we might get the whole Heroic Sacrifice/I want my beloved to be happy/Dying love confession package from her. Although this would also be a more or less "easy" way out of the onesided triangle  it might be still be a more satisfying resolution than simplying letting the half developed triangle (pre-345) hanging in the air.
