The the large amount of...
...has made me start to wonder if there has been a sleeper plot case in the middle somewhere. I doubt it, but sometimes I suspect.
We'll see some more of Shiho when she finally has her long awaited reckoning with Akai about him dating her sister and getting her killed for his mission. She has to question him about whether he really loved Akemi and all that.
Spoiler: general manga

i think he really loved Akemi. after all, why would he keep the message after all this time? he still can't forget her but he also is starting to like jodie. someone he's known even before Akemi....wow...he REALLY is complicated.

I agree he loved Akemi, but he has to convince Haibara of that, who probably isn't going to be emotionally and mentally balanced when dealing with the person who is primarily responsible chain of events that culminated in the death of her sister.Akemi~chan wrote: i think he really loved Akemi. after all, why would he keep the message after all this time? he still can't forget her but he also is starting to like jodie. someone he's known even before Akemi....wow...he REALLY is complicated.
Akai's romance situation is pure awesome because it is so messed up. It will be interesting to see how Jodie reacts because after he broke up with her for Akemi, he also (if you believe this theory) faked his death and dumped her again for the mission (to save Hidemi). I don't think it is absolutely certain that Jodie will try to stick it out with him after this mental abuse. I'm hoping Jodie finds it hard to forgive him because even though she can understand why Akai did what he did, emotions don't like to work out so logically. I'm crossing my fingers for Bourbon hating Akai over what happened to Akemi, and also for Camel to express any of the feelings he might have developed for Jodie.

I don't think Camel needs to be in love that'd be pointless
