the story of conan is much better than of pokemon because in pokemon they always wanna be the best

Well, of course they wanna be the very best, that no one ever was 

I got interested in DC because it was different. At first, I was into stuff like DBZ, Pokemon, Yu-Gi-Oh, etc., and even when I started watching Adultswim anime, it was still actiony with Yu Yu Hakusho and Inuyasha, but then I saw DC by some chance encounter. It didn't have a superpowered character that might be close to losing then winning, and the end wasn't some bs like,"I was able to defeat you because of the power of friendship, and good guys always win" or something like that, but that the truth prevails.

I watched DC since 98-99 or so..~

In my opinion, DC is not the best anime > But the story has its value ^^
It's not an anime that was created for children >(Blood, Crime , Bad Language , Very Nice Charming Killers...etc )

i mean its not a big deal that most of DC fans @ DCTP are teens.
actually its a great thing.
i know its ...unreal to say this, but you can actually learn a few things from watching from the anime
not so sure about the manga itself.

my genre of anime is mostly in the romance part. ^______^v sweetness
and a little bit of drama..hmm...sounds familiar? [girls=drama!] 
i dont mind a little gory of blood and 'oh look, his head is rolling off his body'
but beside that DC is...interesting. not all the anime shows are base from a book...or its about solving cases.
so its refreshing.

Basically i started getting hooked with DC around 4 months ago only so I'm new with it but I'm as hooked to it as the "years-old" fans here. I got so hooked that i finished almost all subbed episodes from 1-300 in 2 days (barely slept). Now ive converted my 28 yr old brother to getting hooked in it to and almost all references going around our house comes from DC.

Maybe there are more kids than teens who like DC... They just don't know how to use the internet

I'm 11, probably the youngest here... ):
I started when I was 7-8, which is young.
My aunt and parents let me watch it, but there wasn't much murder cases. My cousin had Detective Conan and Sailor Moon DVDs at her house, so why not?
Im quite mature for my age, at least that's what my friends would say.

I bet people who say DC is childish don't even know the whole story behind it
They probably saw Conan and said "lol a little kid playing detective?"
Plus considering there's so much blood and well, murder, I don't see why it would be aimed at children. It's more for teens if anything.
It's definitely more interesting than Pokemon.

There is this thing about blood and violence = not for children, that I find interesting.

Kid:  OMG last night I watch this show and some guy's arm got cut off by this ninja-guy!

I'm guesing because kids aren't allow to watch that stuff they find it cool ^^;?  Or are they the target audience xD?  Since adults I know don't gush about how awesome the blood effects are, etc...

Anyways, I'm sure kids nowadays know how to use the internet xD.
