Only using letters found in 'Flute' and 'Ocean': Disproved?
If you wite oceanflut (ignoring the second 'e') and simply number the letters in the order they appear, which comes to: 723164598. Then keeping to the number pattern, if you rearrange the letters according to 749....etc. you end upend with: ofuaecntl - which doesn't make sense.
Yeah, that's what I've tried too.

...Any more hints, Kamite?

For one thing "Ocean" and "Flute" are not related with the word. The word is a compound and it would not work if you try to split it. Last thing the number position and meaning are important.

I came up with an idea while I was trying to go to sleep last night, but it might be time consuming...
Well, we can assume that 1 will be 'a' for now. If it is 'a', the lowest letter 2 can be is 'b'. Continuing that, 'i' is the lowest letter 9 can be. However, just using the first nine letters wouldn't make sense, so you change which letters you use for the numbers by one letter, which pushes the rest of the letters up by one.

7  4  9  1  3  2  6  8  5       7  4  9  1  3  2  6  8  5
g  d   i  a   c  b  f   h  e  -->[s]g[/s]  [s]d[/s]  [s]i[/s]  a  [s]c[/s]  [s]b[/s]  [s]f[/s]  [s]h[/s]  [s]e[/s]
                                         h  e  j     d  c  g  i   f

And when you get to a place that looks like it might work, just don't change that letter.

7  4  9  1  3  2  6  8  5       7  4  9  1  3  2  6  8  5
[s]g[/s]  [s]d[/s]   [s]i[/s]  a  [s]c[/s]   [s]b[/s]  [s]f[/s]   [s]h[/s]  [s]e[/s]  -->[s]g[/s]  [s]d[/s]   [s]i[/s]  a  [s]c[/s]   [s]b[/s]  [s]f[/s]   [s]h[/s]  [s]e[/s]
[s]h[/s]  [s]e[/s]   [s]j[/s]  a  [s]d[/s]  [s]c[/s]  [s]g[/s]   [s]i[/s]   [s]f[/s]        [s]h[/s]  [s]e[/s]  [s]j[/s]   a  [s]d[/s]  [s]c[/s]  [s]g[/s]   [s]i[/s]   [s]f[/s]
[s]i[/s]   [s]f[/s]  [s]k[/s] a  [s]e[/s]  [s]d[/s]  [s]h[/s]   [s]j[/s]  [s]g[/s]        [s]i[/s]   [s]f[/s]   [s]k[/s]  a  [s]e[/s]  [s]d[/s]  [s]h[/s]  [s]j[/s]   [s]g[/s]
j   g   l  a  f   e  i   k  h        [s]j[/s]  [s]g[/s]   [s]l[/s]   a   [s]f[/s]  e  [s]i[/s]   [s]k[/s]  h
                                        k  h  m  a  g  e  j  l  i

One can keep going until the word starts making sense, and if 'a' is not number 1, then it can be started over again with 'b' as 1 instead. I'm not entirely sure this is how it's supposed to be solved, and it probably has problems in how it is done, but I think it could work. One just needs a lot of time and patience (and I don't quite have the 'time' part right now, but will be working on this when I can.)
Slightly Off Topic

As this riddle is killing the thread, how about an easier one, while Kamite's one is worked on.

:o I actually thought of that but I said to myself, "It's probably wrong. It doesn't even sound like a word." XD
