Day 3

After the event on the cliff, the town went to bed early and slept soundly through the night.  It seemed that the shock of being targeted in a mass murder had worn off and now they were all simply scared and complacent.  What a shame... that's exactly what the Black Organization wanted.  They made their move early in the night towards the one person they had been looking for.  This whole thing had just been a ploy to draw her out.  It had worked.  

Sherry, known to all of the town as Haibara Ai or more specifically as Commi-Ninja, was well liked by the community.  She was always rather quiet though her intellect did shine though.  Nobody really knew her too well but, since she was a member of the detective boys, she was automatically famous.  

Her body was found with several bullet holes in several very inconvenient places.  There were several burn and cut marks in various places over her body, indicating that she had been severely tortured before the life-ending shot.  Only a few people knew why she had been tortured and they certainly wouldn't be saying anything about it.  She was buried next to Genta's empty casket.  As the funeral ended, hundreds of pieces of paper fluttered down from the sky around the guests.  Upon closer inspection, the papers were all exactly identical and said only one thing.

What if I told you that I just found out what Mr. Roger's Neighbourhood is after you told me that it is a clue to your challenge? Most of my childhood TV shows aren't in English...

Luckily, someone living with me knows about the show and helped me figure out some of the clues, like what Genta was doing with his hand. It's the American sign language for the letter "n". If so, what happened to "o" (Genta had "n"; Yumi had "p"&"qrs")

Also, in each of the column (sets of 3 or 4), a selected few numbers are used, but its order and frequency changes (but only order changes in Sherry's death). I'll need more time to think about it as I need to study too.

Sign language? Mhh... could those squares of numbers be written in Braille?
On the other hand Braille is written in a 2x3 format, not such huge squares like the ones here. And without knowing which number makes the "dots" in brailie and without knowing the correct reading frame there would be too many possibilities... Does anyone feel like translating them all? Because I have no idea where the messages will lead us. But considering how they were distributed after Haibaras death means that they were likely made by the murderer. Which makes finding out what is written in them less important.

On another issue... can anyone confirm that Kleene investigated mangaluva last night? So... is she Vermouth after all?

So yeah, I am Hakuba. Since the BO knows it already there is no need to keep it secret anymore. But at least we finally found the truth...
So, what will we do with her? Avenge the poor children (and FBI and police) that were killed because of her and her syndicate? Or swiftly arrest her during the sunset?

Well, as Hakuba I can't arrest myself. And at the moment I have no secure lead for more members either.
I am open for more suggestions - Vermouth (aka Kleene Onigiri) - won't run away.

The deal would be this: You don't lynch me today, but instead, you lynch the person I think would be a lover.
Why should you trust me on this? I could just try to fool everyone again? Well, that can be true, but getting a hint on the lovers would be good anyway I guess?
Also, since I PMed a lot of people, that person gave away himself being a lover. At least that's my guess, I'm not 100% sure either. It would be about 80% that I'm sure of him/her being a lover. The hint from him/her being a lover was, that he/she had someone he/she already trusted very early in the game.

What would be my profit from this?
1. I'm alive a bit longer.
2. I'm suspicious of my own people. I think that one of my BO buddies could be a lover. But since I'm not sure of that I can't just kill him/her off because of that. So I'd need to kill of the other lover to get a confirmation.
Considering a BO/town-lover couple could be ingame, this would be bad for both sides, BO and town.
3. If it's a town/town couple, I'd get to kill off 2 more townies
4. I'm curious if my clue/suspicion/deduction is correct.

Risk/profit for the town?:
1. If it's a town/BO couple, it's a grave danger for the town.
2. Getting a clue on the lovers if the town doesn't have any clues themselves.
3. I'm a "joker" you could use and arrest the next night. Or lynch the next day.

Before I tell you who I think the lover is, I want to know if my deal would be considered anyway. If I share my information already it wouldn't be a deal, would it?

If you knew the identity of one lover your organization could have killed him/her during a night and remove 2 obstacles at once. It is in their best interest to do so. And they could still do so if they wanted.
At the moment the most likely reason for your offer is that you want us to lynch an innocent townie while you get a comfortable place in a jail cell, hoping your side wins so you are stilll allive in the end.

If I'm not messing up the rules, then even if you kill all BO, but the lovers are still alive, then the game doesn't end yet. The lovers have to be the last ones standing (till there is a 2 vs 2 and there is a tie etc.). I'm still not 100% sure about the rules concerning the lovers O.o"

To tell you the truth, I didn't want to kill Commi-ninja today, I suggested someone else. I wanted to "abuse" Commi-ninja into being suspicious. Because she wasn't integrated in any of the formed alliances yet

Really? When I was reading the Character Roles discussion thread I got the impression that the restriction that the lovers could only win if they are the only ones alive was removed...

Will two lovers on the same fraction win together with their fraction? Or do they really act like a third fraction that has - for some odd reason - to eliminate both their enemies and friends?

Because if the lovers are really evil in all cases we would have to get rid of them.
But seriously, I wouldn't like that rule at all. As I said before in the last thread, in that case Yumi would be much better of if she released the names of the lovers at the first possibility, since she would never be able to win as long as these two players are alive.
