Night 1

The sun was setting far, far behind the backs of the tributes.

They stood on the pedestal, all bearing the same expression. Unsure. Nervous. Scared.

In front of them, a hoverscreen stood in mid-air. It beeped twice, and my face appeared.

"Greetings, tributes," I smiled, making it as convincing as possible.

"Before we begin, we have a treat for you."

As I said that, peacekeepers began to walk around, distributing cookies to the tributes.

Of course we shut off the sensor for the mines during this time.

"These were made for you to give you encouragement. Eat it well."

Suddenly, phreak_91 started to shake violently.

"Cold, cold!" He screamed, as several large ice cubes fell out of his shirt.

A minute of silence ensued as phreak attempted to dry up himself.

"Well then, if we are all ready, let the games begin. May the odds be ever in your favour, tributes!"
