Day 3 Ends!
While some of the group sets upon the food instantly (hey, being stuck in a murdery dungeon does that to a person), a few people realize the trick the butler's trying to pull.
"Say," remarks Schillok, "you just want us to accidentally eat some of the snake-bitten fruit, don't you? They probably left some of their poison in the fruit and you just want us to eat it and die!"
"Yeah," pofa chimes in, "why should you expect we'd eat such food when it's obviously a trap?!"
The butler scratches his chin. "Hmmm... yes, your voices, I remember you two. You there, you were the one who wasn't willing to kill someone yourself, and you there... you were the one who kept someone else from doing so, no? Hmmm... yes, I would like to have a word with you. May we talk in private?"
The butler ushers the two outside of the room and closes the doors. A minute later, the doors open again and the butler enters the room alone.
"Ah, I have asked Ms. Schillok(Kobayashi) and the girl, pofa(Kazuha), to leave the premises if they were going to attempt to upset the rules of the competition. Though, they did ask if they could leave the group with some final words, to which I happily obliged as it is but a simple courtesy."
The butler pulls two pieces of paper from his pocket:
"So then, now that you've all had a chance to think about who you would like to kill first, who shall have the honor?"
Everyone in the group looks at each other and shouts:
"PT!"
PhoenixTears shouts: "Parku--"
The group quickly mobs PhoenixTears and a fight breaks out on the floor as everybody tries to get the first piece of her.
"No! PT!" screams Abs while he shakes his fist at the sky, "Curse you, Parkur! I'll make you pay for thiiiissss!"
The fight continues for a bit as everybody attacks who they think is PhoenixTears until a voice breaks up the fight.
"Wait!" yells the butler, as he pulls her out of the mob pile. "You can't kill her now."
"What?! And just why the heck not?" demands someone from the group.
The butler points his hands at the handcuffs on her wrists. "You see, she's been arrested. You can't kill her now."
"But... but she's still right there! She's guilty, I know it!"
"Well... too bad. I would have liked to see her killed myself, but I cannot fight against tradition."
Someone else picks up their glasses that had fallen off during the scuffle and puts them on. "Why can't we st-- wait a minute. That's not PhoenixTears, that's xpon!"
"Oh dear," gasps the butler, "it seems you're correct, this isn't PT at all!"
"So, we can still kill her?!"
"Sadly no," says the butler, pulling the real PhoenixTears out of the pile, "because she has cuffs on, too. It seems that both PhoenixTears and xpon have been arrested. Well, maybe tomorrow you all will be luckier. As for now, off to bed!"
The butler opens the doors and leads the group into the hallway and ushers them upstairs.
One of the group members stops on their way upstairs and looks back into the hallway. "Hey, was the hallway always that red? I could've sworn--"
"Oh, don't mind that," chimes the butler, "I just did a little bit of redecoration while you all were down in the dungeon, I felt the walls could use a new paint job. Oh ho ho!"
You have a bit of an uneasy feeling about what the butler just said as you enter your room upstairs.
