In every round, the looser has doubled the two winner's amount of chips.

How many did each of them have before the first round?

the extra credit part has changed using: only four letter words and at least six of them, make a palindrome

The change is they were going to be palindromes them selves, then I realized that way would only work if the same word was used each time like this noon noon noon noon noon noon because this is not a palindrome

by the way the list I found has 18 four letter palindromes and three with foot notes
Proper names and foreign words are allowed
